I took my e-bike in for recall work at Sport Chek, Emerald Hills in Sherwood Park on Sept 9, 2024. A friend of mine had taken his to the same location, and recommended the place . The young man, Nathaniel, who was working at the Service Desk, was just superb. I was happy I went there, and nowhere else. He was so knowledgeable and capable, as well as helpful. He treated me with utmost respect. Other staff members working there were also very polite and respectful. Since I am not a big fan of my e-bike, I also ended up buying a regular bicycle at the location. Once again, Nathaniel was helpful and knowledgeable. This was a great place to do business, and I left smiling, but also poorer, because in addition to fixing one bike, I ended up spending more money to buy another one thank you, Nathaniel, for your knowledge, and respect
Other than the store employees, 6 of them harassing me asking if I'm finding everything all right to the point it felt like they thought I was stealing. It's a really great store, fully stocked clean and people working the change rooms. I want to send a special thank you to Greg the cashier who helped us. Super friendly guy who deserves a raise. Went over and beyond for us making us feel like family and welcomed. I will be back just because of Greg. The world in general need more people like Greg. Thank you.
Brutal customer service staff at front desk. Greg is extremely rude, tried explaining what I would like to exchange and kept cutting me off and raising his voice. Alicia the manager can see how her staff are treating customers and does nothing to stop it. Sportchek should be conducting more effective assessments prior to placing people in customer facing roles.
