Speducci Mercatto

I finally got to try Speducci Mercatto and it was absolutely worth the drive down from Newmarket. It’s tucked away in a hidden industrial area, but once you walk in, you realize it’s a hidden gem. The food was incredible — fresh, authentic, and beautifully prepared from start to finish.nnBut the real highlight of the night was Amelia. She was genuinely a 10/10 server and completely made the experience. From the moment we sat down, she treated us like family. She was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and had such an amazing energy that made the entire dinner feel special. She took her time explaining the menu, giving recommendations, and making sure we understood everything without ever making us feel rushed.nnWhat really stood out to me was how far beyond expectations she went. She even brought me some of their homemade spicy pepper sauce because she thought I would enjoy it, and it ended up being amazing. It’s small thoughtful touches like that that turn a good dinner into a memorable experience.nnYou can tell Amelia genuinely cares about people and takes pride in what she does. Exceptional service like hers is so rare these days. I truly think she’s special and going to go very far in life because people with that level of kindness, charisma, and care naturally leave an impact wherever they go.nnThe food was outstanding, but Amelia is the reason I’ll be coming back. She deserves all the recognition — and honestly, a raise.

Always the best food at Speducci! Every dish is absolutely amazing, from the meats and cheeses to the desserts! Everything is sooo fresh and full of flavor. The staff are also incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. I love the variety on the menu and there’s always something delicious to try, we usually get a pizza and a pasta and their menu always changes. This time we had their lobster pasta and pistachio carbonara which was both a 10/10. Definitely coming back again and again. Would 1000% recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing food and great service!

As a movie lover I immediately fell in love with Speducci Mercatto Italian Restaurant because of all the Classic Hollywood movie posters adorning the high walls. I was savouring each bite. The calamari was so light and crispy and I loved the additions of colourful zucchini and carrots that set this apart from other calamari I’ve had.nnThe vegetarian pizza tasted great, flavourful and healthy with all the delicious veggies on a thin crust. The slow roasted beef cheek for the pasta dish was also full of delicious flavour.nnThe dessert was fantastic and each bite was so heavenly. I loved the look of the dessert so much I needed a moment to enjoy its beauty. So a huge shout out to the chef because the presentation looked like a work of art! I had to take many photos of each dish while fending off my friend from digging in!nnAlso a big shout out for the excellent service from our servers Lola and Chris. They were fantastic in answering questions I had about the food and learned that the pasta was house-made. I’m also a fan of mineral water for the health benefits and happy to see they had an Italian brand that was a new taste experience called Fontalbo.nnAnother thanks to Lola and Chris who were kind enough to grant my request to take photos of us with the delicious food and beautiful movie posters.nnIf I could give an award for best Foodgasm I had at this restaurant I would! Decided to try this restaurant on a hunch, and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was tucked away in the midst of industrial zone, with a small market attached. The market was closed after my meal, though they had a good selection of wines, olive oils, and some fresh pasta.nnFor appetizers, we had lamb speducci, which was not listed in any menus, but the lamb skewers were amazing. The steak and egg from the brunch menu is amazing, my steak was perfectly cooked to order, and the smashed potatoes were a hit. The cheesecake and tiramisu desserts were also great, with a bit of a show as presentation. Our server, Chris, did a good job with our table.

Our first visit to Speducci was absolutely excellent. We ordered pasta, appetizers, and desserts, and everything was top-notch. The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overwhelming. We truly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be coming back.
