I’ve been to JYD for both lunch/dinner/happy hour and celebrated my birthday here too belated post.nAP front man of the house is always so welcoming, with a great big smile! Always offers complimentary champagne, checks in when he gets the chance to see how we are doing, overall very friendly.nI can’t remember all the servers’ names but I do recall having Matt a couple of times and he’s also very friendly. One time the beer was warm, and Matt apologized and brought a new cold beer right away appreciate that!.nCourtney night manager helped to ensure my birthday dinner went smoothly with my group of 10 or so people. My friends had asked the team if they could store birthday cake in their fridge. Then they brought it out to surprise me.nFood never fails to disappoint. The chefs/line cooks do an amazing job in ensuring all the foods were prepped and sent out in a timely fashion. Never once did we have to send back food. Huge props to the entire team as the weekends are the most chaotic. Keep up the great work!

Pretty huge place already with even just the main floor, but there were more seating upstairs that I didn't get to see.nnService was decent, but we were missing cutlery or having a hard time finding/ getting our server's attention several times throughout our group's time there.nnThe food was typical - nothing extraordinary and what you'd expect from a restaurant chain I would say. One thing that was surprising to me was their apple pie with the maple ice cream. The texture on their pastry was soft and flaky. The apple filling was a good balance of tart and sweet, and the maple ice cream was a good ice cream in and of itself apart from the rest of the dish that was a good departure from your typical artificial vanilla flavoured ice cream. That was for me the highlight of the meal.

Joey Yorkdale truly exceeded my expectations. Admittedly, I came in with some reservations based on previous experiences at other locations, but from the moment I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff welcomed us warmly, setting a positive tone right from the start.nnOnce seated upstairs, we were greeted by Matt, who made the experience exceptional. As any diner knows, good food is important, but outstanding service can make all the difference. Matt brought that extra touch—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging. Following his recommendation, we tried the prawn lettuce wraps, and he was absolutely right: they were fantastic. I also ordered the Joey 75, which was a bit too tart for my taste, but Matt was quick to adjust it when I mentioned it.nnOverall, this first visit to Joey Yorkdale was wonderful, and I look forward to many more. Had dinner here the other night and the atmosphere was perfect. Beautiful restaurant interior. The service was also great, the server was knowledgeable and attentive. Our Korean style Cauliflower was delicious but too much dressing. And the burger ? Horrible. It was on par with a Big Mac but worse. The “secret sauce” they advertise is just Mac sauce. The fries were average at BEST.

Went here for my mom's birthday and I had a really good time with the server named Joe. A lovely Asian server that made my mom's birthday more special with her sweet personality. This is my go-to spot for just having a quick dinner or lunch so it never disappoints..... Although I did order a medium well steak and it came out well done
