Smashing IT!nnI've been going to Ferro's since the 90s.nnTonight, I decided to have dinner at Ferro's since the last time I paid this place a visit was during the lockdown and ordered one of their amazing pizza's to go, and I am so glad that I did.nnI ordered the meatball with pasta, Caesar salad, then for dessert Tiramisu and coffee.nnThe meatballs were so amazing. The Caesar salad authentically made, and the Tiramisu was perfect!nnHad the pizza many times as well at Ferro's, and it was amazing as well.nnLove the staff. From the waitstaff to the cooks to the bartenders!nnI know the original owner from the old high school gang. Frank always had a flare for good taste and cultivated a sense of home when experiencing one's visits to his restaurants.nnThis is a place where it's not just about great food it's also about family.nnGreat energy and great vibes!nnExpect to spend a few hours here when you visit because it feels like home.
We have been dying to come here for over a year because of their Instagram and reviews from friends. I really wanted the lasagna but we found out that they don’t start serving it until after 3 or 4pm. I was disappointed at first but we will have to try and come back another time.nnEverything we ordered was great, I cleaned off my plate of bolognese and the servers were very nice.nnI really hope we get a chance to come back and try the lasagna but I’m pretty sure you can order anything here and it will be good.nnThanks!
The food was absolutely delicious. My friends and I loved the place. Great atmosphere, service and food. We were impressed by how fast we got our meals. We are looking forward to going back and trying different dishes.
Ferro Bar Cafe offers an exceptional dining experience with outstanding food. The Magic Mushroom and Linguine Pesto Cream dishes are absolute must-tries, each bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. Highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious, high-quality Italian cuisine.
I’m starting to notice a pattern amongst several Toronto, restaurants and cafés, where the dishes that are shown on their Instagram and Facebook pages look substantially different from what they actually offer in the restaurants themselves. This restaurant is now the third one that I’ve experienced this issue with. Firstly, the condition of the restaurant seems to be rather tired compared to the way it’s presented on social media. Specifically, the glass table that we sat at had a ton of scratches all over it, and the leg supports for the tables made it very difficult to get in and out of the seats. As shown in the pictures, we had a prosciutto pizza and a mushroom pasta. The pizza was actually pretty good, the only exception being that the prosciutto was rather thick, which made it difficult to bite into without pulling the entire piece of prosciutto off. The crustwas a stand out feature, reminding me of the complementary bread that used to be offered at Terroni on Queen West, a few years ago it has an ‘old world’ taste to it although definitely heavier than most thin crusts today. The pasta dish on the other hand, was quite poor. It arrived in a sea of buttery oil, as if it was a very hearty soup. The mushrooms were undercooked and rather, tough with no specific flavours were discernible. I think you can see from the picture of the pasta dish that I received while I was there, compares to what they advertise on their Instagram page . I really don’t understand how this marketing strategy is going to work for these restaurants, as it sets very high expectations prior to arrival, only to be disappointed by the actual experience, which will most likely result in reviews like these. It was rather annoying that during the entire period that we had lunch there, there was a van parked right out in front of the restaurant which is where we happen to to be seated that was unloading food supplies, through the front door. Either pick a different time to do this, or have rear door access… Lastly, considering that we were there for lunch, and that all we had was a fairly straightforward pizza and pasta dish, I consider $65 expensive, compared to other places I would go, to get better quality food, in a nicer neighborhood, and in a MUCH nicer restaurant ie Terroni on Queen West would be a specific example!
