South Bend Chocolate Cafe

The fudge is absolutely amazing. Their food is really great too. I recommend their triple decker. The staff in the diner were very nice and helpful.

Stopped in to just look around and the staff was so friendly to everyone that walked in. I spoke to the chef and told him for a bit. Very nice guy. He gave me two rice crispy treats to give to my kids. He didnt have to do that but it made me happy. My kids loved them. Great place!!

I love their coffee! Mt wife and I went here in the morning during errands. We grabbed a couple of Lake Effects and a breakfast burrito. Both very good. Highly recommended.

Staff really did not seem to care at all about people inside, not only did we wait but I watched as others waited, ignored while employees sat on their phones, talked or stacked items on carts while avoiding looking at people at the counters. Food side closed an hour early without any warning, don’t know if thats normal. The food was ok, hard to mess up a grilled cheese but still burnt it. The chocolate wasn’t bad, nothing special but lots of choices. Cafe was nice.

We stopped by here one evening when we were waking in downtown South Bend. It smells great and it is beautiful inside. The candies all look AMAZING. We did not end up buying anything, though, because it is INSANELY expensive, I'm talking $32.99 a pound for chocolate. To rich for my taste, but if the price doesn't bother you, I'd definitely stop in and take a look or a try.
