Au Bon Pain

Mere convenience is the siren song of this restaurant, but I'm more convinced each day that this place is terribly managed. First, any kind of rush means you'll be waiting awkwardly for awhile for your food. The restaurant has no places to queue or wait, so it's always a cramped mess. The food you do receive will be mediocre and sometimes outright bad. Soups are often watery. Coffee often stale. I have also witnessed food being made by staff who are sick. 😷. I skipped lunch that day, something I recommend most days for this place.

Expensive but delicious bread dishes. I enjoyed the steak and cheese and my mother had the chicken noodle soup which was apparently on the saltier end of the spectrum. The overall restaurant is organized well with decent amount of seating.

Decent, inexpensive coffee for quick, in-between lecture pick-me-ups. Their croissants are vastly superior to Starbucks'.

Often long waits with a poor floor plan to accommodate crowds. Pretty expensive for average food. Does not stay full service until closing time.

Everything was clean and the service was great. I had the Newport sandwich and it was amazing. I highly recommend it!
