“SOUTH BAY PARK” A beautiful place near to the Elliot Lake, This park has so many trailer site and Tent sites If you don’t have a trailer don’t t worry just pack your camping stuff in your car and book a tent site at the South Bay , they have some beautiful tent site specially just by the water which gives you unforgettable experience. Apart from camping you can also rent different types of boats like Canoe , Kayak , Motorboat , Paddle Boat and what not. Ideal place to spend as many days as you want.
Beautiful campground situated on the shore of a pristine lake. Apparently new owners, although I never met them. I was helped by who I assumed were the owners younger daughters. very polite and helpful. Like I said the lake was very clean and great for swimming. Never got out fishing but, by the number of fishing boats at the dock, I assume the fishing is decent. Close drive to Eliot lake for any of your needs. I was on a motorcycle and really enjoyed the ride along highway 546.
I emailed the park the night before i arrived asking about a tent site, check in was simple and painless no debit bring cash, small site just perfect for myself. Great spot just off the road! If you have kids this is a family campground. Bathrooms are cleaner than most provincial parks. Nice little park just off the highway!
The first night of a cross country motorcycle trip I stayed here in May of 2022. I was charged $40 for a single one man tent site. I asked if there was a CAA discount. An abrupt no. When the lady was showing me where my site was, she says "Bear with us, we're just opening. The bathrooms are being opened now". Well, they weren't opened by the morning. So a full $40 to sleep on the ground, no showers, not even toilets! The place is a total ripoff.
It's a little rundown, but a great place to be.
South Bay Park is a fantastic place to spend your summers. Wayne and Shirley keep everything running smoothly and all the campers are so friendly. Just like on happy community
Awesome place nice people great lake area and very clean outgoing happy friendly community of people one trailer ownerdid not mind me using there camper outlet to chage my air matress for my tent thank goodness for decent happy friendly people
What an Absolutely Wonderful experience camping here! The best labour day getaway we could have hoped for ! We have re booked already & Can’t wait to go back next year! It is a fun, beautiful, clean & inclusive place to explore, relax & unplug!
So I visited my friend. The new owners have put the prices so high for no reason. Dock fee used to be 250 a season. They jacked it to 500 and all the other fees as well. If I had a trailer there I would move too.
My family has been camping here for over 20 years now. The owners are great people. Beautiful campground. Beautiful fishing and great beaches for swimming.
