This place is amazing. We work out of town constantly and are used to staying in hotels/motels but Blind river was all sold out. So we ventured here and let me tell you, we've had the best experience at this resort. The owners are amazing, the beds are unbelievable and the cleanliness is truly remarkable. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! 5star!!!
Fantastic experience for a beautiful week. Even saw Northern lights!! Very noisy couple cabins due to highway noise..80 ft away...overall...great view. great fishing..pike.. bass.. lake trout..easy access to the lake via several ramps in vicinity... as well as at the resort..
Its a very convenient location. There is a trail that takes you to town, liquor store, and a small grocery store. If you ATV or snowmobile, this place is right on the trail. If you fish, this location in 1km to the boat launch. The owners are really down to earth, nice folks as well.Rooms: 5/5
I did not stay here, just stopped in for some ice cream. It was $5 for a single scoop waffle cone, I got the cookies and cream, and it was great. Enjoyed the little wooden deck behind the shop. View of Lauzon lake is great, there is a public beach just east of the resort with porta potties and change rooms no running water or flush toilets. The resort looks nice but it is right on the highway, so it might be a bit noisy. They had paddle boards and other equipment for rent. It seemed fairly busy, so people must like it here.
The second time we stayed in Cabin #3. Both times in mid summer. This cabin like the other 5 units has no air conditioning and gets very warm by end of the day - extending through most of the night. Make sure you bring a fan or two and a pair of noise canceling headphones as the bedroom window is less than 40 ft from Hwy 17 and the traffic noise will keep you awake all night. Still, its a pretty cozy experience by beautiful Lake Lauzon for city dwellers willing to rough it a little. Cabins are clean and have big screen TV, fridges, and microwaves no stove so all cooking done on supplied BBQ outside
This is a beautiful property by the lake run by Sharon and Marc. We trained with Marc on a 16 feet boat and it made our day! He showed us around this beautiful gorgeous lake and taught us the ways of people who live in this beautiful close-knit community. He is very experienced and knows the waters well. It was a treat to spend a few hours with him. The land is very well maintained, there are beautiful cabins on the property, cozy floating bunkies and a personal waterfall! They also have an icecream shack on the property. If you are interested in a peaceful relaxing stay by the lake for a weekend getaway , this is a highly recommended property. The rental prices for boats on the property is also quite reasonable. Also, you could rent a barge if you have a group to accompany you.
I recently had the opportunity to stay at this place and found it very good. In consideration or location, amenities at this location. This little resort has a little bit of everything for options. - sport package for various water activites - they have boat rentals including pontoon boat you can rent - They have a floating dock which you can rent for the day - There's a solar sauna on premise - there's various size cottages you can choose from. I found them to be clean and decent. - They to have wifi on premise and works reasonably well. - it's also possible to use your own trailer at this location - There use to be a hot tub but it's no longer there. - They have fire pit stations for nightime activities - They also have BBQ area. Did notice some of them need some maintenance work but otherwise it was great. - There's a small dock fee if you so choose to bring your own boat - also they do sell worms and pricing is reasonably competitive for this location. - Let's not forget, they have a nice little ice cream stand for your enjoyment on a hot day.
Second year up there cottage is nice. Nice and clean when we came in just wish they had an oven.Rooms: 4/5
Stayed in a suite. Very comfortable and clean. Enjoyed access to deck off room which had a good view of the lake. Host was friendly and welcoming.
WOW!!! I regret that we stopped there just for a night and not for a whole weekend, the place is fantastic!! The wooden suite, the water activities, the campfire and the souna on the lake was such a great experience. Sharon and her husband are great people and they treat us like a family. Also, Sharon breakfast is so GOOD! Highly recommended
