What an incredible weekend. Stayed in the cabin, warm fire to warm up in the morning, camp fire at night, paid $20 bucks for so much wood, delivered to the fire pit with kindling. Such a beautiful place. The lake, the sunrise, sunset, the stars, the tranquility, the everything… it was the recharge I needed. Everything we needed was there and them some, indoor games, outdoor games, lots of chairs, soaps, towels. Beds, pillows, couches, so comfortable. Big fridge… only downfall was that I didn’t go swimming… I was tempted but this late in October was a little too cold. If you prefer commercial hotel room with AC and room service… this might not be the place for you, but if you’re looking for beauty, relaxation, friendly service or some fishing I’ll be back for that this is the place for you. Looking forward to visiting in the summer. Thanks for such a beautiful stay.
These are the nicest people I met on my trip. They helped me and my boyfriend and fed us a real awesome breakfast. I would come back here for the food and stay a few nights to visit these kind people. Check it out. Beautiful scenery too....nature all away around you. Beautiful little lakes everywhere on the way up there. You guys are the best! Hope to come back soon.
A family owned business. Simple, quaint and clean. Just the way we like it. The property is amazing. Trish is super friendly and her daughter is a superstar. We would definitely come back.Rooms: 5/5
I was attending a birthday celebration for my cousin in Elliot lake..was fortunate to have an opening at the Dunlop lodge. The rustic warmth and caring from the owners and staff was amazing. I plan to return in the fall with a crew. The music nights they had were amazing.. see you soon..Peter Larabie from April Wine.. name for income tax hounds..lol....on labels..E Colin's.. lol..see you soon..
Very Nice place if you like family type lodge. You can enjoy lots of activity near the lake. They have nice sitting area. Warm and cosy rooms with lake view. I will definitely come again.
Found this little piece of heaven by accident. Will definitely be back with friends to experience outstanding scenery, great staff and wonderful meals. I came home totally relaxed. Thank you Food & drinks: Delicious meals.
Due to an issue with the Hampton Hotel, our saving grace and hostess,Trish, made our weekend getaway Easter weekend a phenomenal experience for me and my better half. The view of the scenery was breath taking. So in fairness I feel I must share, I grew up at the trailer park across the highway when it was there as my father worked at Denison Mine, and Trish and company made it feel like home again. We enjoyed the cabin feel, very clean and spacious. We feel the family niche was better received than a corporate one, so yeah Hampton dropped the ball. Thank you to the Lodge for making our weekend a memorable one. The better half really loved spending a Sunday afternoon on the deck playing cards and soaking in the amazing wilderness. See you again very soon!
We had a lovely experience at Dunlop lake lodge. The room was cozy, the restaurant had great prices, good food and a great atmosphere. We were allowed to bring our own wine for a small corking fee, they also offered to cook any fish we caught. You can definitely feel that the lodge is run by a tight knit family or friends. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Its a laid back environment perfect for a quiet get away to enjoy the outdoors. We loved being right on the lake to go fishing, but there were a few spec lakes around as well. We will definitely be back!
Location and outdoor setting is amazing. Not a fancy place but we didn't need that for our 2 amazing days of snowmobiling. Called mgmt to report dog barking for 30 mins and they acted promptly. Fish and chips were a good hearty meal after our ride.
Service and food was great. While we were up there my buddy's sled broke down just north of the resort. I was able to tow him off the trail then I gave him a lift back to the Lodge. We weren't sure what we were going to do since our trailers and trucks were back close to Sudbury. The owner got wind of our situation and offered us his truck to go and pick up our trailer. Can't ask for better service than that! Thanks Randy. We will definitely be back next year!
