Location is great and walkable. Very close to Parliament and museums. The rooms are very cozy and conveniently equipped with dishes and everything you could ask for to cook with, including a dishwasher . The bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure is a highlight of this visit besides the #1 thing…a comfortable bed. It also had a nice size refrigerator. The room gets 5 stars as well as the friendly staff. I would stay there again if they have availability when I am back in Ottawa.
Very good. Nice central location. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bed was also nice and comfy.nI was a bit concerned when I saw earplugs by the bedside but we really didn't need them.nMy only complaint was that the soundproofing out to the corridor was not good. I couldn't hear much from outside but regularly heard people coming and going and conversations in the hallway.
The Sonder Rideau was an exceptional hotel experience. The full apartments offered everything one could need, including fully-equipped kitchens with plates and cutlery, spacious bedrooms with comfortable and stylish furniture. The hotel's common areas were fantastic, featuring amenities such as a basketball court, ping pong, gym, and extra-large rooms with TVs. Additionally, its central location, an 8-minute walk to Parliament Hill and a 15-minute walk to the ByWard Market, was convenient. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again. One minor suggestion would be to include a hose and handle shower head to facilitate bathing children more easily.
Sonder is something between a hotel and an AirBnB. If you are looking for a hotel experience, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU.nMy room had a fully stocked kitchen and a close room. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was super comfortable.nCheck-in and check-out were incredibly easy. I had a few questions, and the front desk was able to help me quickly.nThe gym is equipped with the basics.nThe area is quiet, not too many people on the streets nor traffic. Government buildings are close by, so definitely you can have a nice walk.
Loved every bit of our stay! Seamless checkin, perfect location - so much within walking distance and cheap $8 parking close by. All staff was extremely friendly, ready to help with any questions. Immaculately clean, comfortable bed, great layout with kitchenette and two bathrooms. And our kids loved the games room. Perfect affordable stay for a family of four :
