We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff was polite and very helpful, and the breakfast was nice.nThe location however is a mixed bag. The actual location is perfect. We could actually see parliament hill and the fireworks from our window! The only unfortunate part of the location is that it is beside a community support center and a homeless shelter. We had no issues personally but it did not make me want to explore the area on foot with my toddlers.
I had a great experience at the hotel. Both the front desk were very helpful in giving us directions as we were new in ottawa. Although the surrounding area feels a bit unusual, the hotel itself feels completely safe thanks to security presence there.
We stayed 4 days and 3 nights and our visit was incredible! The hotel is near from downtown around 7-10 minutes walking and you can take buses outside the hotel. The homeless shelter is not outside at the hotel, is in front of the street and I think this is very normal in Canada and US, is not problem of the hotel. They also have a guard security inside of the hotel.nnThe stay include breakfast like pancakes, omelette, turkey, yogurt, cafe, juice, etc, very complete breakfast.nnI’d like to add that the beds and pillows are little uncomfortable, it could improve.nnI would recommend this hotel if you want to be close of the downtown, this is the best option for you.
We had a good stay at this hotel. Our room and the overall hotel were clean and modern. Onsite parking was affordable $18/night but spaces were very tight. Breakfast was decent but the hotel is very busy at breakfast time and elevator wait times were long.nnThe location is interesting. The hotel is close but not in Biward Market. It’s actually in a fairly shady area of downtown across the street from a harm prevention center which attracts many people my family wasn’t comfortable around. The actual hotel is located in an island of sorts and is surrounded by major roadways. Having said that it was very accessible by foot.nnOverall we had a good stay, however the location wasn’t great and it felt very busy.
The location is not the ideal place. However, for a 3 night 4 day stay, it was good. The room was nice and clean and the service was great as well. It made my first time visiting Ottawa a comfortable place.
