If I could give a 20/10 I would. We were in town for a wedding and I happened to be in the bridal party. I had to be at the hotel for 8:30 AM and they allowed me an early check in. The day after we were behind on our day and they allowed us a late checkout at 2:30 PM. The service from getting the car, bringing items to the room, etc was better then I've ever seen at that hotel. Special shoutout to Emma for making our stay seamless. Location is right beside the byward market in downtown Ottawa, and the rooms are top notch, spacious, and comfy. I would go as far and say this has been one of the top if not the top hotel's that I stayed at. Great job team - will be coming back 100%
LOVED my experience. My boyfriend and I stayed for Valentine's day and they upgraded our room and it was the best surprise to walk into. Felt so grateful. I had originally bought the Prestige room but they upgraded us to the suite! The room was huge, impressively clean, and everything looked new. The mattress and bed sheets were very cozy and plush, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Two bathrooms , shower and a lovely tub. Valet parking was a breeze. The amenities included were perfect. SO Special. The staff were all so kind and hospitable : It made for a VERY memorable and special Valentine's day. Thank you to the team at Le Germain Ottawa!
Right downtown Ottawa and next to the Rideau Mall and By Market Place. Luxurious and wonderful hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Was able to extend our stay til 14h at no extra cost. I strongly recommend it!nThe only negative note would be the strong smell of the scented candle in the lobby. My husband and I got a headache from it. I believe a non scented environment would be better for everyone I wonder how the staff can work daily in such power smell!.
Don't bother getting the breakfast. Disappointing menu, food quality, service, and price. Very basic. The lack of effort at the restaurant was embarrassing for a 4 star hotel.nnEverything else about Le Germain Hotel was great. Comfortable bed. Beautiful room. Friendly front desk. Just go somewhere else to eat.
The hotel itself is nice and rooms are clean.nStaff is also friendly and accommodating.nThe restaurant in the hotel has a nice bar, but the drink menu is limited.nI didn't see what the food was like.n2 min walk to the rideau mall.nnOttawa is a dirty city, lots of homeless people around everywhere.nnI was happy to get back to the hotel
