Located at the heart of Parliament Hill. Nice, spacious and clean room that’s the signature of holiday inn hotels. I was helped by Mr. Aldo for checking in and he was fantastic in terms of guest service. The hotel does have a parking spot at the basement. Security is also good as only guests can swap their room keys to reach their hotel floors. I will highly recommend it and will come back and stay here again.
Overall good experience. Front desk staff were friendly and greeted us every time we came back to the hotel. We had water bottles in the room which was great. Room was spacious but a little dated. The AC unit was a bit loud when it was working but didn’t bother us. Our room was quiet and the neighbourhood seems quiet as well. Our car was secure in the underground parking garage. We were about a 20 minute walk to downtown Ottawa/Parliament Hill.
I cannot say enough, good things about the staff at this hotel! I travel constantly for business, and this staff is by far the nicest, most generous, and attentive I've ever dealt with. During 10 days, they got to know me my name, got to know my favorite candy bar, and even give me a complementary sandwich on my way to the airport.nnIt's not the fanciest building, and there is construction going on outside on the street, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat just to be around these staff people. They made the stay so pleasant.nnThe restaurant attached to the hotel is also quite delicious. I was impressed with the quality of the food, and again, the servers were incredibly attentive.nnIt's within walking distance of parliament Hill--Maybe a 10 to 15 minute walk. I was very happy during my stay here for business, and would hire every single one of the staff members I encountered!
The gentleman at the front desk working 11/08/2024 was super helpful with the parking situation of our truck that did not fit in any underground parking in the area. We were not even guests at this hotel and he was kind enough to help us out. Thank you for your kindness!
Great location. Convenient to mass transit and Parliament Hill. Lots of nearby dining options.nnStaff were warm and friendly, from the front desk to the housekeepers, and a shout out to Asha and his new apprentice in the bar.nnLooking forward to a return visit
