Smokin' George's BBQ Restaurant

The staff at Smokin’ George’s were friendly and helpful, and service felt genuine. However, as a smokehouse, I expected great BBQ — but the ribs were underwhelming. Our first order came out cold, and while they quickly replaced and warmed them up adding a free slice of banana bread as an apology, the flavour was good but the meat wasn’t even close to fall-off-the-bone tender.nnOn the brighter side, the cilantro and pepper soup was outstanding — full of flavour, perfectly seasoned, and comforting. I also asked to try their homemade pickles, and as a pickle enthusiast, I was genuinely impressed — tangy, crisp, and packed with flavour.nnOverall, excellent service and great sides, but the BBQ itself needs improvement

Food was delicious here! Definitely one of the better BBQ’s I’ve had in the west coast. We did their regular feast and I thought the sausages, pulled pork and brisket and chicken were absolutely delicious. The rack of ribs unfortunately for us was dry and was my least fave even though I prefer ribs. The cornbread and French fries were really good and our friend ordered their special corn ribs that day and those were unique and top notch! Side of Mac & cheese was also nnDefinitely worth the stop! I’d pass on the ribs though unless the batch we got that day happened to just be a meh batch.

Their poutine is to die for!nLooking forward to trying more items off the menu!nThis was my first time trying it, Kaitlyn the girl at the front till is exceptional! She’s bubbly, welcoming and really adds warmth to the atmosphere! Cant wait to come dine in some time and bring some buddies here!nThanks for such awesome service tonight and even better food!

We ordered two brisket meals with sides and were really disappointed with the quality. The brisket was served cold and lacked the tenderness you’d expect from a proper smokehouse. As shown in the pictures, it was dry and tough—more like a leftover piece of dried meat than freshly smoked brisket.nnDefinitely not worth the money or the time. We were expecting a flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth experience, but sadly, this missed the mark completely.

Nice place. Jazz and rock music is little bit loud but I like it.nFriendly staff.nRestroom was clean.nWe ordered a set for four people and it was great. The most surprising delicious was fries. There was so much food that we had to take some with us.nPork ribs were very nice.nThe only concern was the meat was warmed up and chicken meat wasn’t very fresh.
