Ordered honey garlic fried chicken, bulgogi lunch special and had a free box of fried tofu on the side for spending $25+. An incredible amount of food for an great price. Bulgogi lunch box had a good variety. Fried tofu was very juicy, but a bit on the bland side. The fried chicken was absolutely amazing for its price. Sauce was given on the side and the chicken was delivered hot and fresh and super crispy. Would come back just for the chicken!
Pork bone udon soup $13.99+ is tasty and good value for money compared to a Ramen soup which usually starts at $15+ It even come with 3 different sides of small Korean pickles servings. No tipping since this is located at the Food Court. Recommended if you are into noodle soups.
The beef short rib soup is one of my favorite! I've tried a few different places but they make it best here. It's perfectly seasoned and so flavourful! I also love they serve with a mix of regular and purple rice. Also they have some great sides, the corn is my fav!! Sorry the picture isn't the best but you guys definitely need to try them out!!
I visited this place a few years ago under the former owner/management? and it wasn't up to standard at all. While I was grocery shopping at Walmart last week, I had a sudden crave for Korean food. This restaurant is just 2 mins from there, so I thought to myself, let me give this place another chance. I ordered via Fantuan app for pickup. Here's my usual go-to at any Korean restaurants: Gamjatang Pork Bone Soup, Seafood Tofu Soup, Seafood Pan Cake, Japchae Glass Noodles, and Kimbap Seaweed Rice Roll. They also threw in some free Fried dumplings. Most dishes were good, except Kimbap. Each pieces was much bigger in diameter than usual. While it might sound good but actually not, coz you can't take it in one bite and the ingredients wrapped in it will fall apart and make a mess. Also, I feel the beef in the Kimbap was not that fresh. I appreciate that they gave me 2 sets of 3 mini banchan side dishes - kimchi, pickled radish and bean sprouts. For a small restaurant in a mini food court, this made a good impression. I had ordered takeout from some bigger Korean restaurants and for $120 worth of order they only gave me one small bowl of kimchi.
Ordered take-out meals. The stone pod rice rice bowl / Bibimbap was very nicely presented and super tasty. It also comes with a few side dishes in seperate containers. Great value for such delicious food! Highly recommended!
It was another one of those days when I couldn't figure out what I felt like eating. I had stopped at a couple of places on my way home, hoping to get inspired but by the time I reached my third stop, I was starving. It was a small food court in an Asian supermarket. Korean Pork Bone Soup caught my attention. While waiting for it to be ready, I thought to myself, "What am I doing? It's hot as heck outside!" Too late to turn back now. It was actually quite satisfying. The broth was rich and flavourful, and there was a good amount of meat on the bones. It was accompanied by the traditional Korean purple rice, kimchi, and potatoes. Rating: 3.5/5.0
It was initially difficult to find this place as Google took us to a similarly named restaurant in Langham Square in Unionville. It was that restaurant who redirected us to this food court location inside the Field Fresh supermarket in Middlefield. Hubby ordered spicy pork bibimbap and fried tofu, which had a BOGO special on UberEats. Service was okay. The fried tofu was covered in a flavourful mildly spicy sauce, and was still fairly crispy even after 15 minutes from pickup technically 30 minutes from time of order pickup to food consumption. The spicy bibimbap was nicely plated in the takeout container. The vegetables were fresh. The fried egg was cooked over easy. Underneath the egg and vegetables was purple rice which was a pleasant surprise. There were 4 small containers of side dishes kimchi, bean sprouts, pickled radish, and potatoes in a sweet sauce. Good food for reasonable prices.
Great place to grab take out or dine in if the food court is not too busy. Food was great and the staff was nice and friendly. Had the pork cutlet. It was crispy and went well with the kimchi provided with the meal.
Got the beef short ribs soup. Soup base was excellent but the beef was only ok. Not that tender or flavourful. Should have ordered my go to dish ka ja tang pork bone soup
I like that they were open early but I thought that the prices were expensive for lunch Bento boxes started at $15.99. I had the Bulgogi beef Bento box and thought that everything was bland and light on flavor compared to other Korean restaurants in the area but it was OK. Also the gyoza had no dipping sauce which I have come to expect. It seems to be located inside a food court in a grocery store and I regret eating in as the food court was filthy. The tables were dirty and the chairs and floor was covered in food waste from the day before it seems. There were old boxes and crates piled up everywhere on and under tables and half of the seats could not be used. I don't think I'll be back unfortunately...
