Shoppers Drug Mart

This is absolutely the worst pharmacy I’ve ever used. The pharmacists regularly ignore you when you are dropping off or picking up a prescription, even while you’re standing right there in front of them. Every single time. Today was the last straw. My husband and I used to use this pharmacy but I transferred all my prescriptions to Bank Street Pharmacy a small locally owned pharmacy where I get excellent service every time. Anyways back to today’s experience, I dropped off a prescription for my mom, I walked up to the counter there were two pharmacists at their computers plus another employee standing in the back and after the one closest to me gave me a quick glance, all 3 proceeded to ignore me for at least 5 minutes. Then the one on the left moved into the other seated pharmacists booth and started chit chatting for another 5 minutes. Frustrated, I walked away, while saying I was unhappy with the terrible customer service. I was tempted to take the prescription to my own pharmacy but I was in a super rush and my mom needed the prescription so I went back to the counter, whereupon I was lectured to and ridiculed. Two of them claimed to not have seen me standing there which was a lie, then they said I was at the wrong counter, whereupon I pointed to the drop off sign which was evenly spaced above the two sections. I was also told I was not wanted there as a customer, and that they did “ not care about me” which I answered back - “obviously not!” Rude, uncaring and unprofessional. There are also many other issues, getting through by phone to the pharmacy is impossible, it takes 3 days to get a phone prescription filled, I was regularly put on hold for a long period of time then hung up on, messages and instructions left with prescription refills were never followed, and the entire store regularly closes 10 minutes early. I was once refused an urge t prescription as they closed early. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs.

My wife has been on hold for 20min. No one has picked up the phone. It's 8pm. Pharmacy closed at 10.

It's a smaller store but the employees are nice... I haven't been to their pharmacy section because my pharmacy is downtown.. prices are pretty outlandish... An average store

Store hours say open until 10pm, the doors were locked at 9:50 and employee ignored us.. needed to grab an item, a quick in and out. Store should be open to hours posted..

I read some one using race card about my shoppers Drug Mart. This pharmacy is the best pharmacy in the city I know of. with respectful customer service. The owner Brandon and Jessica are always nice people to deal with when I was served and even noticed how they take time to explain when people don’t understand. It is always hard to accept fact of coverage when one does not expect to pay. The issue of race card played seems far from being right. The pharmacy manager Brandon made sure that he hires qualified people without any of their background and the store has Asians, blacks, arabs all men and women of all races. In regard to OHIP coverage I would trust the pharmacy because they are connected to the government computer and what they tell you is the message they see from the government.
