Very disappointed. Would not recommend. I brought my vehicle here for work on exhaust pipe (probably about $400 of work total). Someone from the place called me around lunch to say my SUV was ready for pick up, but since it was still early in the day they recommended "topping up my fluids" and changing spark plugs. Not having owned the vehicle very long, I gave them the okay to go ahead thinking that the work sounded routine and probably wasn't a big deal. When I went to pick up my SUV the total came to over $1200. I was completely shocked. I admit (now older and wiser) I should have asked for an estimate for the fluids and spark plugs, but the bottom line is that they took advantage of me.

After reading the other reviews on here, I feel compelled to share my experiences as well. First off, the automotive repair industry will always have a very big challenge in terms of customer satisfaction and mixed reviews. It's extremely difficult for repair shops to manage the expectations of clients who may not have a deep technical understanding of their own vehicles. No matter how experienced, knowledgeable, and honest a mechanic may be, it's impossible to get things right, all of the time, for every vehicle and every client who comes in. Cars and trucks are not simple devices, nor should they be treated as such. As a general rule, nobody is allowed to work on my cars other than myself. I'm extremely specific when it comes to them, and I love to perform the maintenance myself whenever possible. There are times, however, when I'm either too busy or it's not feasible for me to repair things myself. In those rare occasions, I've trusted the team at Sherlock's. I truly believe that they have always been honest with me. I believe that they conduct business in a truly ethical manner. I also trust their technical opinion. Lastly, their fees for repair and maintenance are actually extremely competitive. Thank you to the excellent team at Sherlock's!

My wife brought her van in at 2:00 in the afternoon with a flat. She was on a tight timeline and Sherlock’s shop was full. They told her they could squeeze her in within 30 minutes. 20 minutes later she was on the road, repair done and bill paid. $40, which is reasonable enough, but given the prompt service it was worth more to me. Staff was friendly and polite and the waiting room was clean.

Great service. Went in with a slow leak from a nail puncture. They were kind and quickly took it in. I told them that I only had a spare hour to leave the car before I needed it back. I went and ran a few errands and by the time I was back it was already all fixed up. It's been a week and the tire has held up perfectly.

I bought a $60 coupon from a kid selling door to door, which gave me 3 oil changes. Not bad considering what I have been paying at Great West Chrysler. Just brought it and was told I needed to get my brakes done, I was totally shocked as we'd just done all our brakes less then 3 years ago. Derek talked me though my shock and gave me enough info to research. Sure enough this is a common issue and complaint with Chryslers... terrible break pads. He didn't pressure me into anything. The heater in my car has been out, and since the staff was amazing for the first two oil changes we decided to go there instead of again, great west. It was super. Yay and the lady told me in advance that I'd most likely not get a courtesy car but to call the night before, which I did. Still no car. When we dropped it off in the morning, however, they did have one which was awesome. I actually got an estimate call before they did anything... YES!!! That alone gets 5 stars. And he reminded me of my deferred brakes. He did say brakes before heat, but I cannot go through another winter with no heat. They fixed everything within my working hours, amazing service when I picked the car up, and I've now booked an appointment for my break pads. The only reason I haven't given a 5 star rating is because I just picked up my car, so I want to make sure the bottom doesn't fall out now that I've been there. At this point, they will continue to get my business and recommendations.
