Sheikh Almandi

Lamb mandi from Sheikh Al Mandi is one of the best meals you can ever eat in Ottawa. The lamb is so tender that it falls off the bone, and the rice is cooked with an exquisite combination of spices that renders the whole dish mouth watering and rich in flavors.nnI always did take-out or delivery, but the restaurant is beautifully decorated with traditional furniture and artifacts that create a wonderful oriental atmosphere.nnThe service is friendly and relatively fast, but I suggest you double check your order every time. They're often busy so mistakes are bound to happen, and I experienced it twice so far ... the first time they had taken down the wrong order, so when I arrived I had to wait much longer ... and the second time it was Uber Eats, and they sent me the wrong drinks.nnAnyway ... the food is amazing so it's definitely worth adding it to your list.

We ordered their mandi platter for two as takeout with an extra chicken skewer. It was delicious and came warm. The serving size was generous and they were nice enough to give us extra nuts on the side. Solid option for halal Arab cuisine in the area.

I ordered from Sheikh Almandi today, and it was absolutely incredible! The food was bursting with flavor—so authentic and fresh. The portions were generous, and everything was perfectly cooked. The service was equally outstanding—friendly, prompt, and very professional. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. Definitely one of the best spots in Ottawa for Mandi and bbqs. I’ll be ordering again soon. Highly recommend!

Where does one begin when it comes to leaving feed back for a place that touches your heart from start to finish…nShiekh almandi is beautifully decorated in traditional gulfi style seating which reminds me of back home.nnThe food was actually impressive, flavourful and definitely cooked to perfection.nI got the lamb Mandi and it was definitely enough for one, they do offer double the serving for meat if you wish to get more.nnDefinitely worth the visit, cant wait to try more of their food.

Omg I order the lamb and chicken platter to feed my family and let me tell you the portions are so generous that we always have left overs. The food is well spiced delicious tender and always fresh. It’s affordable. For the price and what you’re getting, I can confidently say this place is a 10/10 !! Thank you so much. I’m so glad I found this place.
