Karahi Point Ottawa

The spices were new to us and added to our experience Loved the taste and portions. Rice was a little cold when arriving at table so needed to be warmed up with toppings. Naan was amazing, my husband was happy with the level of heat to the spice in the curry, I was with my milder version of lamb. I didn’t realize lamb chunks meant bone in, so would choose something else. Will definitely go back and try more of the menu.

We were excited to try this Pakistani restaurant. The first impression was great as we saw the beautiful dining area and all the wall decors. We ordered four items with some drinks. The Peshawari chicken was the best item, with amazing flavorful curry sauce. Tuesday chicken didn’t appear as soft and tender to me as dark mat should be. The beef sheesh was average, it was dry and hard to chew. The lamb biryani was same, some basic biryani rice mixed with dry cold lamb. We got some naan too, which were really big and thick, but taste wise was fine. The mango mojito didn’t seem to be handmade drink, rather I felt it was a mango flavor soda.nnThe restaurant wasn’t busy, only couple of other groups were in with us. There was only one waitresses attending all the tables. We had a hard time getting hold of her, as most of the she was in the kitchen, or occupied at plating other empty tables. We just started walking over to get our stuff. Despite being not busy at all, the food also took some time to come out of the kitchen. So overall I was disappointed with the quality and service of this place.

I am glad that Karahi point opened a new location in Ottawa! It tastes just as amazing as the GTA branches. I love their kebabs, biryanis & Karahi options! It’s a must try & highly recommend it.nI loved their dessert options as well. The Ottawa location is spacious & beautiful interiors as well. The staff was friendly

This was my third visit to one of their branches, having previously had great experiences at their locations in Toronto and Ajax. Unfortunately, this time was quite disappointing. I was served an undercooked shrimp karahi. When I brought this to their attention, I was told that this is how shrimp karahi is supposed to be prepared, which was surprising. They eventually took my dish back to recook it, but it took an additional 20 minutes. By the time the dish returned, my naan had gone cold, and the entire meal was a disappointment. The overall experience fell far short of my previous visits.
