Worst on line and phone service ever!!! Signed up for on line services- needed to get copies of my monthly statements- took for ever -- and then 20 minutes going through a terribly hard to navigate web site- then they were not available! I am now sitting on the phone- took 4 minutes of navigating their phone system to find the HOPEFULLY??? right department- and have now been on hold for over 40 minutes!!! Could have drove there and back twice during this terrible ordeal--------- Find somewhere else!!!!!! This is certainly not the member centered credit union I joined 20 plus years ago- this is stupid!!!!!
SELCO has excellent customer service and all the benefits of a good credit union. I've never had a problem with any SELCO branch or employee after years banking here. Don't expect to use financial apps however, SELCO is stuck in the dark ages and sets harsh limits for services like Paypal, Zelle, and Venmo that make them unusable in many situations. Cosigner/verification apps do not work with SELCO accounts and it's impossible to use services like Experian Boost or Credit Sesame. I think most people will need to open a checking account with another bank if they use SELCO as their primary bank. [Edit] I was on hold for 22 minutes on my lunch break today. Lose a star.
Why can't you just provide a phone number that reaches a live person? Why does it always have to take 20 minutes of screwing around on a voicemail tree to finally give up..... Selco ebanking is great but their customer service accessibility is terrible !
Apparently charging overdraft fees when your account is still positive is ok here at selco. I'm closing my accounts today.
We've been Selco customers for almost 10 years, we've had a savings account, got a car loan and then paid it off, got a trailer, and now about to pay it off. They're encredibly nice, helpful and evrrything seems to go smoothly through them. Ive had bad banking experience through wells Fargo, bank of america and federal credit union, and never had these kinds of peoblems with Selco. Highly reccomend for car and personal loans, they offer low interest rates and we're very satisfied with them. They have a loyal customer in us.
I've been a selco member for about 8 years now, and they still continue to impress! The employees are always friendly and treat you more like family than an account holder. I will never go anywhere else for my banking needs.
I had a transaction that had been going on without my knowledge or verification for over a year, in less than 15 minutes Carl was able to square away most of the issues around it. Easily the swiftest customer service experience I have ever had. Thankyou again
I've been with SELCO for almost a year, and I haven't had any issues with them. Everyone I've dealt with has been very polite, patient and extremely helpful. I've never experienced hidden fees, issues with the app, or with my accounts checking and savings. I recommend SELCO whenever possible. I don't think I could ever go back to a bank ever again.
I've had an account with this org for decades. They've been helpful in a variety of ways, loans, investment advice, various transactions and accounts. They don't do every little thing that larger banks might do, but they are clear about where they can be of service, and their own limitations. Without exception the people across the desk have been professional and friendly. The one fail was a recent use of their mortgage broker service at the Gateway branch. We felt that we were processed without attention to a specific arrangement we'd requested and been promised communication on. I won't use them again for this service but otherwise have been quite satisfied.
I am a new member of SELCO, and I needed to open a Health Savings Account. Apparently, SELCO seems to be the only credit union locally to offer the HSA. I appreciated the excellent custom service and respect that I received at the branch in completing my bank transactions. I believe that SELCO and other community credit unions in general care more about helping people in the community than commercial banks. Thank you SELCO!
