Seafood City Supermarket

Feels very nostalgic coming here. I got the Philippines vibe. We came September 22 and it’s already feeling Christmassy here. I love all the Filipino food. Smells so good everywhere the smoke from the grilled we can also do grocery here and buy your favourite Filipino snacks even the household stuffs we had from Philippines

I love Seafood city but yesterday was different when I had to pick up my Christmas party package at 5pm. I was at the store with my daughter at 4:45 pm and saw the line up was too long. I had to ask another person if that was the line to pick up the Christmas party package and said Yes. Very frustrated to be in line for almost 55 minutes waiting. Not systematic and organized. They should have anticipated that customers will flock at the same pick up time since they do want to claim the food before 5pm. I had to go to the front line and ask ' if they can accommodate the next person if the are just waiting for the other person's order. I even had to witness a scene that the person in charge at the front was already escalating her tone of voice while dealing with a customer's frustration. Not very professional and I suggest, the manager should have intervened already with this kind of situation. Mind you, this is not the first time I ordered during Christmas but this year, they were not able to handle it good. They could do better next time and refresh employees customer-service interaction.

One of the best place to buy Filipino groceries. The store looks clean, pleasant and well organized. Staff are also courteous. The store also sells meats and seafood. Its cool that you can ask staff to clean and fry a fish while you shop around or even eat at the food court. There is fried food, grilled meats, noodles, street foods, and a variety of Filipino dishes. They also have a bakery on the side and a remittance center. Overall, every visit is like being back home in the Philippines.

The place was great.. a lot of good choices for Filipino and some Asian choices as well. It was clean and workers are very strict when it comes to food safety as everyone are wearing hairnets and using gloves when preparing food. The food as also great and was fresh when served. The grocery is very easy to explore as the items were clearly organised for the customer’s convenience. There were fresh veggies, fruits, Filipino items which are difficult to find here in Canada, fresh meats, frozen and fresh seafoods and bakery items which are freshly made everyday. I was very tempted to buy as many as I wanted but I have a limited storage so I just tried to think on how I could get what I needed the most for the time being.
