Safeway Northgate Centre Edmonton

I love this Safeway location. Everyone is friendly and helpful. A Clean,organized and innviting store. Yesterday April 15th, I went to my favourite flowershop and bakery at Northgate Safeway. Ash did a gorgeous pink roses' bouquet with baby's breath in a pinkish vase that I bought there. The price was very reasonable and the pink roses' bouguet looked stunning with a gorgeous burgundey ribbon. The recipient of the flower arrangement absolutely loved it! Thank you Ash :. Flowers from Safeway, in general, live longer and stay fresher than flowers from other stores,I noticed.nAt the bakery, Wajiha was very helpful, professional and friendly. She helped me pick a cake with fresh fruit and whipped cream. It was so delicious and so fresh! The price was great too.nOverall. I love Safeway baking. Last month I was at Safeway, Wajiha was at the samples' table. My friend and I loved the bakery's version of timbits. They had a delicious cinnamon and sugar coating with caramel filling. Just perfect!nKeep up the wonderful job Wajiha and Safeway bakery.nIn addition, Stacey and Stephen,I notice, always go above and beyond in helping customers. For example, 2 months ago, I was having an issue with self checkout and with my credit card also. Stacey and Stephen helped me sort out checkout issues ,with a smile. I have also observed them.help other customers, they were just great!nProfessionalism and respect to customers is obvious in every interaction with emploees at this store! Quality of all products is never compromised, all at reasonable prices in a clean organized environment. Best Safeway location in Edmonton by far!

I have come to this store on a weekly basis with family for years and am never coming back.nnI went in to look at snacks. I noticed one of their extremely obvious secret security stop at the end of the aisle, pause and make eye contact, then head back the way he came. I deliberated a bit more, then left the store to go on my way.nnI came back a bit later, and returned to the snack aisle to look around. There he was again, but this time, as I looked up at him at the end of the aisle, he snapped his head back to look the direction he had come from- he had definitely been looking at me as he was passing by.nnAt this point, I wanted to see if I was being targeted or if this was just random or if I was wrong, and he didn't work there, and some random guy was just being weird, so I looked around for him. I checked to see if he was looping around my area, and sure enough he was. I went about my shopping, and when I got to the self checkouts, he was in line at one of the tills, watching me. As I paused at the self checkouts, he started walking in my direction.nnI decided I was fed up and left the self checkout area and put my two items back. As I was leaving the bakery section he was there glaring at me. I left the store and saw one of the managers at the self check out area.nnThis is what happened to the best of my memory. I realize I may have made this worse by looking around for him but it came after multiple times when the secret security at this store made me feel unwelcome. I felt harassed and have no intentions of returning to this store. Walmart and T&T are perfectly fine alternatives, with the added bonus of no harassment.

The current bakery manager or Assistant bakery manager Deb or Debbie.I dont have words to describe her attitude towards customers.I am a regular customer here for over 4 years last managers were so helpful.However Deb has so much jealousy over regular customers.Only makes small things a big issue.Not accommodating or helping customers get the product.I regularly purchase buns from the bakery department sometimes 3 packs or 4 packs most days.However if you ask for few more buns she is not willing to give extras.She Instructs girls at the bakery department not to give extras.Taking extra buns means sales but na she will hold it off just to act smart and make life difficult for regular customers.She is in a wrong profession below zero leadership skills.Only looks around for others mistakes and always being bossy.I have observed her and seen how she is interacting with co workers and regular customers.As a bakery manager or assistant manager you should accommodate regular customers they giving you business appreciate them and help them get the products they need.I personally think she is not fit for this role.She should find a profession that not customer orientated.Or go for retraining and learn basic customer service and people management skills.She is below zero in my opinion.

I had a really wonderful experience at Safeway two days ago .I was looking for ready made food, and an employee named Audrey helped me out.nnShe was an older lady and incredibly kind and patient. She took the time to explain the ingredients in different items and made sure I understood everything clearly. Her attitude was so warm and genuine that it truly made my day.nnPeople like Audrey are rare, her level of care and kindness is something you don’t see often. Safeway is lucky to have someone like her.nnThank you, Audrey, for your amazing help!

DO NOT EAT THE LEMON CHICKEN AND CHICKEN FRIED RICE!!!! It tastes like moose chin and nonsense. It was expensive too. Definitley 2 of the worst things on the hot food menu but you know what's crazy? It's not even served hot. It was fresh out the freezer and tasted like it had been in there for the past 15 years. The rice tasted stale and flavourless and the chunks of chicken tasted like an insult. Save your money and buy a bag of chips or something. Avenge me.
