Scotiabank

With the exception of sometimes experiencing a long line up I have no problems with the service in the facility. The lines move quite quickly and all tellers have been extremely courteous and efficient. Plus it's nice that there is always someone working that will give you a wave or say hi. The facility is clean and they have ample seating and even coffee for people.

Very poor service. They don't listen to the costumer inquires . Make me believe that my English was not good enough for communication. Try to change my wife Scotiabank visas address but she keeps insisting that the visas were join with the banking account online. When I have to do the changes to my Scotiabank visas last week thinking that my credit cards have the same address on file because appear in the online banking. But in reality they still have the old address. She keeps insisting that the address was changed it even without confirming with the Scotiabank visas. It looks like she didn't want to do the job. And to book an appointment with a advisor in that branch takes three weeks.

Went to Vietnam and used an ATM to withdraw $200. The ATM did not process the bank card, resulting in the transaction being declined. However, upon observing my online banking account immediately, $200 was removed. Scotiabank was informed promptly, via email, and the receipt was saved. Upon arriving home, I provided the bank with the associated transaction receipt. 3 months later I inquired with the bank, as they had not updated me on the file. They stated the file was concluded 2 months prior and that my claim was denied. Furthermore, that they "contacted" the Vietnamese bank who, of course, denied the allegation. Scotiabank would therefore not provide a refund, explain their investigation, or explain the associated receipt in relation to my account. It appears they believe a Vietnamese bank, instead of a longstanding customer with no prior issues. Don't bother banking here, especially since the bank's assets total $897 billion, and they won't fully investigate or reimburse a minuscule $200. I will subsequently be removing my funds from the bank.

I just really like my bank. The tellers are knowledgeable about all my concerns from security to general banking
