My wife and I came here today and ordered a lamb corriander curry dish with samosas and nan. This meal was a 10/10 it had full flavour with a hint of spice. The samosas were flaky and delicious and not super oily like other places and they had a yellow curry flavour mixed in with vegetables. Was unreal! I’m telling you if your in kingston and you like Indian food check this place out . Also if your thinking of meal portions I just ate a meal and still have enough left over for lunch the next day. Unreal Guys keep up the good work
Didn't enjoy a meal there as it still was not set up for dining in yet. Maybe it never will re-open....no idea. Take-out was busy. Disappointed not to be able to enjoy a meal there that day. PS. This not a one star review! There is no option for anything else if we didn't eat there. Only because of previous experiences there, we were going back to have a meal....we wouldn't have bothered going if we hadn't enjoyed it before! We were on the car and decided that was where we wanted to eat and we didn't know it was takeout only as we weren't looking it up anywhere. Couldn't put 5 star as we didn't eat. But no way to just leave it blank! It does not mean it was no good!
Discovered this gem of a restaurant since moving to Kingston and what a find. The biryani, beef madras, lamb bhoona and more is a huge success. The service and food is impeccable, Saber the owner is a pleasure to deal with and accommodates your needs. This is our go to for terrific food and service. Good job Saber. Marcia
We ordered an eggplant bhaji and a beef curry and some naan bread. On the website, the portions are guaranteed as generous however except the large naan bread, the dishes were nothing close to generous. On the contrary, we finished not feeling full luckily we ordered 4 naans so we compensated there…. In addition, we specifically asked for the dishes to be hot but they missed the request. The taste was good, not exceptional and the person taking phone orders would benefit from training around communication especially making sure specific requests are noted down and communicated further + repeating back the order and the total cost to ensure clarity.
Got some takeout here and ordered authentic Butter Chicken with Palao rice, Chana Masala and Naan. There was plenty of food for another meal!!! The food was quite delicious and I cannot wait to go back. The owner was the person taking my order and super friendly and so was the staff. And I wish I had ordered more samosas. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: On the website they advertise that they can cook to order if needed
Absolutely delicious Indian Food! We ordered take out and the person on the phone addressed very well a gluten allergy. All food was very flavourful and the meat was very tender. The portions are well sized. Rice has to be ordered in addition to the mains. Will definitely be back for other dishes.
The food was very well tasting but the servers were seemed to be like they didn’t wanna serve at all. Being in the industry I though that we have to show a little bit of enthusiasm as we go serving people. But I didn’t feel that spark here. The food was great, particularly the naan was perfectly crisp and I was very happy with the taste but the service should be improved!
Incredible food, kind and helpful staff, and a beautiful atmosphere. We had a mango lassi, naan, pulao, masala lamb, and lamb madras - and all of it was impressive. Will definitely visit again!
Friendly and hospitable and downtown earth. The restaurant was clean and fancy. Food was prompt and delicious. Prices were also good for the portions. Delivery of the food was fast.
Pretty flavourful food, and decent portions too, the mango lassi was really refreshing, and the naan was nice and buttered with ghee which complemented both, the chicken vindaloo really spicy and the chicken tikka masala. And for dessert I ordered the mango kulfi, which was pretty flavourful although it did have an after taste of some sort of essence.
