The ambiance, interiors and setup is pretty amazing. The round window seats overlooking the streets provide a wonderful vibe. The staff is friendly however they were pretty below in serving and we had to wait for a long time to get our orders despite us being the only people who were dining in. We saw multiple delivery orders picked up during our dine in. As we weren't local to Kingston so we had no other option than to wait. Coming to the food, we had ordered Lassi in drinks that was mango flavored, we didn't expect that was coming. The Mulligatawny soup we ordered was pretty thin in consistency. The tea was okay. For the main course we had ordered chicken tikka masala which we didn't like in terms of taste and cooking. The chicken pieces didn't at all taste like tikka, it was like the same cubes used in butter chicken. The prawn phatia was too sweet in taste. The mixed veg was Average. Overall an average experience with a huge room for improvement in terms of food taste.
This is the second time I have been dissapointed in an so called Indian restaurant at Kingston. No taste at all in any of the cuisine we ordered and they made us wait for atleast 1 hour even though we were the only one at the restaurant.
This place should be fined for even calling themselves Indian cuisine, worst experience ever. Mutter Paneer was just boiled and mixed, worst butter chicken, ever. Spent 70$ with delivery and tips for butter chicken, mutter paneer and one Naan. Never ever gonna order from their. They are overrated and I am sure these are false reviews. Shame on you!
Yellow Butter Chicken??? It was not Butter Chicken. It was so sweet a diabetic would be calling 911. This restaurant is not Indian food. An hour to get it with 2 tables being served. The menu or website do not have photos so you have no idea if you have no experience in Indian food. The waiter was useless. Nope,,,never again.
We ordered take out for tikka masala, qorma, samosas, and gulab jamun. The qorma was extremely sweet to the point where I couldnt taste my pop. Everything else was amazing and I would definately try the other curries next time.
The dine in seems to take a while so be prepared to wait, but I liked the food, and the server was accommodating. Not sure what everyone is complaining about but this place has the best prices so I eat here often! Go with friends so you can try lots of different things.Food: 5/5
Best Indian restaurant in Kingston! I am a long time customer and I can't believe some of the bad reviews. Service is sometimes slow due to take out orders but I have never had anything less than great food. Always hot when served and flavor is very on point. My favorite dish is the Bombay Potato which I usually enjoy with Naan and Onion Baji. Hope this place is around for decades to come!
Best Indian food in Kingston! The naan is amazing! Sometimes the vegetarian curries can be a little bland. Their lunch special is excellent value.
Disappointed. The butter chicken has 0 tomato in it, and tasted oddly like bacon, please change the name of this dish, because it is not butter chicken. The Lamb Rogan Josh was quite good. The Darbar rice was a bit too fragrant but to each their own. The samosas had probably the worst filling I’ve tasted in 35 years.
Have been a repeat customer for years now! We tend to get the same items, they’re our tried and true faves - Chicken Tikka Masala, Karhai Beef, Darbar Rice, and Garlic Naan. Absolutely delicious every time! I will say, I’ve also tried the Butter Chicken and it was a no for me, like others have expressed. It seems depending on what you order, it can be a hit or miss, but it’s all subjective really.
