The staff was extremely friendly. There was a delay with our reservation. We didn’t even mind but they went out of their way to make it up to us anyway. We had stuffed mushrooms ,crab cakes and spicy shrimp appetizers, all delicious. My first bite of my NY strip was unpleasantly charred and salty. Every bite after that was tender, buttery and delicious. Cocktails were very good as well. My huge issue with this place was the sides. Lobster bisque was pretty bland, au gratin potatoes were an incomprehensible disaster and I’m fairly certain the garlic mashed came from a box. I enjoy cooking at home, no training or experience in a professional kitchen . That being said I’d be happy to pop in and teach the Chefs how to make tasty potatoes. Give me a week and I could likely teach them how to make a decent bisque too
It was our first visit here, and turned out to be not as lavish as I expected. Our reservation for six was after a small wedding, and I was pleased they seated us in a separate room in the back rather than a table in the middle of the dining area. Steaks were enjoyed, but we all agreed there just wasn't a 'wow factor' with the food. Stuffed chicken breast was moist and tasty, filled with herbs and cheese. Mashed potatoes had an off flavor I couldn't quite place, and wasn't as garlicky as anticipated. My favorite item was the sweet potato casserole, although so sweet I didn't need any dessert. Service was prompt and there were several helping out, but our server was in a hurry from being near the end of his shift.
Relaxed atmosphere, great service, and we enjoyed everything we ordered. We went for a birthday dinner first and they gave a special dessert, which was a really nice touch. We also had breakfast here and I'd really recommend it - it's easy to not realize they serve it! It's quiet, cozy, and the eggs Benedict was great. I have a suspicion the bathroom might be haunted, but that's another story.
We went here for my son's birthday and overall it was pretty good. My son eats his steak medium but about a quarter of it was medium rare which he couldn't swallow because it was too chewy. This was the 16oz. ribeye. My other son had the same order but his steak was a bit thinner and more charred and cooked to his liking. We got mashed potatoes for the side and I felt it was a little too watery. Oh and for appetizers we got the stuffed mushroom caps which were great and my son's both had the seared ahi. While the quantity was plentiful, maybe 10 narrow slices the quality was so-so. One plate had decent color to it but the other was a pale pink rather than a nice red. Like it came from two different kinds of fish. Honestly, The Yardhouse does a much better seared ahi. Our birthday boy wanted to eat here because the first time he experienced a Ruth's Chris was in Honolulu and he remembered how the steaks came out sizzling in butter. This time though, it barely bubbled. I didn't even bother to post that video. Our waiter was excellent and since it was my son's birthday he of course got their complimentary dessert. But the really nice thing was our waiter brought a dessert for all four of us to enjoy along with our son. That was a great touch!
We had a very enjoyable experience here. The cocktails were very good. They do have a separate gluten free menu. The filet, shrimp and sea bass were excellent. Timing of everything was great. Nice ambiance. Good service. A couple suggestions: a gluten free bread option and/or gluten free crackers to go with the beef carpaccio would’ve been appreciated. Additionally, the sea bass came on a bed of spinach and no one likes eating spinach soaked in fish water. The side dishes were great. The lobster Mac was a humongous portion. Baked potato was cooked perfectly and very delicious and I loved the mushrooms.
The service was so good. Our server, Joe was really professional and he was really attentive to the details. He made sure to be on time and asked us about our experience multiple times. The food was hot and even served on hot ceramic plates. The kitchen was really busy on Christmas night, so our food took time but Joe made sure to keep us informed and that we have drinks meanwhile to keep us busy. The cheesecake was really different with bread crust on the side and really recommend at least once. One suggestion to the restaurant, the plates for entrees were really hot at 500 degrees. Though the server warned us about it, it was really hard not to get burned especially when you are drinking back to back wine. I hope to hear from the restaurant about this.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary tonight. We had a very pleasant time. I really really enjoyed their creamed spinach! Chad was very professional, nice, friendly, and polite. His look reminded me so much of one of my favorite YouTubers-Bobby Parrish. He was knowledgeable on wine. And the wine he helped us to select paired very well with our stake. He added a nice touch to the dessert to make it special for us. We were treated very well tonight! Overall, I liked the ribeye better than the New York strip. But I was glad that I got to try Ruth’s Chris stake house’s classic. Thank you Chad! You made our evening great!
Great dining. Steaks are like a big hunk of beef that melts in your mouth. Tastes soooo Good! Love eating at this place. Don’t forget that if their busy you need to call ahead for a reservation. Yes, that is how popular they are. They are also located in a safe and secure location in the heart or should I say, “belly” of downtown Seattle. Sorry, no pictures because I was busy eating.
Stopped by Ruth Chris. Placed my order to go when I got home I discovered that I was given the wrong order. I called Ruth Chris and the person on the phone told me that only me and them knew about this situation. How interesting ! And to believe i tipped this laymen ! Went back twenty minutes from my location on a FRIDAY NIGHT to exchange out my happy meal like I was at McDonald's And was given a disrespectful serving I felt so disrespected that I didn't even take the food too the person with whom I planned on sharing it with so i got them Wendy's. If the chef needs side work I can afford my own ingredients and hourly pay .You see what i got! For 100 usd . Nothing worth the money. . And I was told side's feed two people and its a family atmosphere I really feel like I got served in my own kitchen. I'm leaving this in the car over night. Thanks for nothing Ruth Chris.
Amazing. They went over and above to make sure our meal was perfect. The savory-zesty flavor of the venison ravioli was a wonderful surprise. Each bite was heaven. A show stopper and highly recommended.Food: 5/5
