Chef’s Counter Tasting Menu was a fantastic experience. It was so nice not having to make any decisions, and every dish was perfection. The center piece of each dish was cooked perfectly and the sauces really brought each dish together. It was truly apparent how much time and experimentation went into ensuring the correct complement of foods/ flavors in each dish. My favorite was the squab, the glaze was unique and bright, over quite possibly the best potato I’ve ever had. My partner’s favorite was the lamb, succulent, melt in your mouth, excellent flavor. I’m already looking forward to trying a new tasting menu in the next season.
Went for dinner with a small group on a Saturday night, service was excellent, prompt without being overly personal. The food was excellent. Definitely on the French side with portion size; this is eating for flavour not getting stuffed. The best approach is to get a variety for sharing. Really loved the duck; superb, which was a highlight along with the scallops and Treasure Cove oysters. Well recommended to check out.
Le coin had my night sparkle. I got so much compliments from friends bringing them to this restaurant today. Oysters were small so it was very tasty and fresh. Grilled octopus was better than one I had from a 5star hotel. We ordered various shared plates and none of them let us down. Atmosphere was cozy and not crowded. I have a feeling Le coin will be one of my favorite restaurants in the area.
Overall a good place for brunch, except for the price. Very busy during brunch time so the service could be a bit slow. Food is above average. I’m not a big fan of the Apple fritters, a bit too floury and sticky. A bit of heavy snack for brunch. My egg Benedict is good. But My friends loved their sandwiches. So probably I’ll go for sandwiches next time!
Half off oysters during happy hour! This cannot go wrong. We tried almost every item on the happy hour menu loved the mussels, asparagus, and lamb shoulder. Others are interesting to try but probably won’t order again.
A nice French restaurant, conveniently close to home. Prices are fairly high unless you go for happy hour. Went for a reserved dinner for two and the crab in the bisque was over cooked, and had a small piece of shell in it. Otherwise, very lovely interior with great vibes. As expected, wine selection is excellent. Oysters were excellent. I will return, though maybe for happy hour next time.
One of the best meals I've ever eaten. Chef Josh and the crew there are ridiculously talented. The food was so fresh, flavorful and thoughtful. I can't wait to come back. Thank you for doing what you do, your passion is so apparent.
We went for happy hour, but stayed for dinner. Fantastic experience, we loved our knowledgeable server "KT" per receipt, who was also friendly and attentive. The food was fabulous. This is the spot for locals...I highly recommend this cozy bistro!
Had a nice dinner with my wife on a windy, rainy evening a couple weeks ago. Sure glad we didn’t make outside reservations! The host, Nelson, and our server, Sarah, were super friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. If there was a negative it was having to overhear the guy at the table next to us spend 20 min mansplaining how the Straits of Gibraltar were formed to his completely bored date; but I don’t blame Le Coin for that.
Great food, good drinks, cool people. Just picked this place at random searching Google. Always down for some fried chicken and waffles, so what the hay! Let's do it. The food was great including there delicious apple fritters. Solid flavors and combinations etc. The staff was super friendly and very attentive to the customers. We made reservations and glad we did, the wait was over an hour when we walked right in.
