What a nice place, I sat at the bar and had some oysters and a few drinks. The bartender was amazing. He even made my oysters steamed ans they turned out so good! Plus they are delivered daily from Boston Canada, so when I say fresh , I mean FRESH. So if you love some oysters this is the place to go !!!!
Friendly staff, delicious food, and a upscale yet unpretentious atmosphere. I loved eating here. My waitress, Darla, is such a doll….just as sweet as can be. She recommended things and was right every time. The Cioppino was out of this world and they had a Dungeness crab cocktail that was amazing! I had the Olympic Mule cocktail, which was delicious and refreshing. I’ll definitely be back!
Went to Shuckers expecting greatness based on the reviews and what I got was just good. Kevin our server was great and everyone else was friendly and welcoming. The problem was that my meal was not memorable in any way. The clam chowder was just ok with hard soda crackers and little taste, but the portion was big and I could see the clams in it. The fish and chips were ok as well but I wanted more than just frozen fries I could get from Burger King for $34. The cod was cooked well and was good with the tartar sauce. I don't like Cole slaw but it was different and good. I'm sure I may have been impressed if I would have gotten something else, so go and make your own opinion.
All the seafood were fresh. We had dungeness crab cakes and oysters. Clam chowder had a lot of clams. Gem salad was crispy and dressing was just right. Tried the creme brulee and it one of the best cdeme brulee I've had. Top was thin and crispy the filling was creamy. Service was fast. Parking: Valet park at fairmont olympic hotel
Start with truly unique and well prepared seafood. Add in friendly, energetic service and crowd. Well worth a night out here! Hint: try the baked oysters!
The bartender was fabulous. He was personal, friendly, and knowledgeable. If you get a chance to sit at the bar its worth your while. We had a great time chatting with him and he gave great recommendations. We enjoyed the food too and felt like it was worth the price. If we lived in town we’d be regulars.
Super flavorful and everything tasted great. Nice atmosphere too. I’d recommend this to everyoneRecommended dishesBaked Oysters
Server was great. it's a very nice restaurant. Very disappointed that they no longer have the Oyster Rockefeller. They do however make real clam chowder here they don't use any fake thickeners .Nothing special. Tried the king salmon and steelhead the provincial oysters were okay I'll say it again "Nothing special about the flavor of their food." But it did taste clean and it was very decent
Difficult situation with this visit. My family and I visited for Christmas lunch. We believe it advertised as offering Children's menu, however, that wasn't the case. The front of house was friendly and professional. Chris our waiter was working his socks off! And did a great job keeping us informed. The atmosphere, was probably as expected for a high end restaurant. In my opinion, atmosphere was lacking though. Sadly there was no children's options and when we asked to possibly rustle up some pasta with cheese, we were told they had no pasta I thought that was surprising! The first courses consisted of Prawn starter followed by Clam chowder. I'm not the biggest fish fan I was looking forward to tradition Christmas dinner but the fish courses were excellent. The Christmas dinner including turkey, gravy, potatoes and Brussels was very disappointing. The turkey was dry, gravy minimal and potatoes far too soft in my opinion. We couldn't feed our daughter a share of this and were forced to send it back. The manager and Chris were fantastic at helping us come to an agreement on the bill. We felt embarrassed because they were so helpful. They shared our frustration that our daughter had to go hungry. I think we'll need to go again and try the fish courses some more... Clearly their specialty.
The scallops were seared to perfection We sat at the bar and had an enjoyable conversation with the bartender who took excellent care of our needs. Thanks
