Royal York PM is the best long rental agency in Canada. They have been understanding, available, and responsive to all of our needs thus far. I have to stress that the maintenance team is easily the best I have had at any place I have lived. These guys go the extra mile to do good work and not just quick fixes every time!
I was terrified because I was going to have to find tenants for my first investment property during a pandemic. Royal York Property Management was amazing in reassuring and answering all my questions. They found amazing tenants and not only could I tell they had my best interests in mind but I also felt that the tenants would be well taken care of as well. Happy tenants, happy landlords what more could you ask for. I definitely would recommend them and will use them again in the future.
Dealing with rental properties is usually an awful experience but with Ana it was very professional and informative. The walk through was safe, masks and gloves were worn and we maintained distance the whole time. It was a lot of information but it was refreshing having everything presented upfront rather than signing a lease and not really understanding the terms. Gave me faith again in Rental Properties. 100% satisfied.
Absolutely the worst customer service possible. We choses this firm based on recommendation from a prior customer. Our experience wasn’t anything like theirs. We contacted them to help with leasing our house. The first meeting was great, they promised everything and we were pretty excited. The second meeting was to sign the contract, the first time we booked the appointment, the agent was a no show, the second time, the agent was late after rescheduling just that afternoon. The photographer showed a day earlier than planned with zero notice. The lock box with our house key was left open. All of the above I could forgive, we got no communication for over a week and then get a note asking for a price reduction, we responded to the email and asked for some details on the showings that they had. We got radio silence for the next 10 days. The voicemail of the agent was always full, left messages with the office, emailed others in the company and got zero response. Finally the agent came back and said that they were ill, disappointing that no one else covered for them but again can be understandable. Wrote to them to say that we are going to work with them for another week and asked again for the information that was originally requested. Again zero response until we heard from someone else outlining what options we had with the ending of the contract, and that we could continue working with them. I don’t know about anyone else but after this as the service, I have zero interest in them getting my business. Just be cautious if you are choosing to trust your property to this company.
Our rental home has been under the administration of a separate property management company for about a year. I can definitely feel a difference in how it is managed, and Peter, the property manager for RYPM, is very receptive, knowledgeable, and offers sound suggestions. Can't be happier because they relieve the worry of dealing with rental property management.
My experience with Royal York has been outstanding. The property manager, Matthew, is very responsive and always available to answer questions. All tenant requests were channeled through work orders which I was copied on. Everything was very transparent and I would recommend them to any landlord looking for quality service at a good price.
Royal York PM has managed my property for over 2 years now and they have been great! I live out of town, and it's nice to know someone is looking after my property while I'm away. They promptly respond to and fix any issues with my property to keep the tenants happy and keep the house in good repair. Highly recommended.
We moved out of my apartment in Vancouver because my fiance was hired by a Toronto based company. I searched online for companies that could help us find a good place and Royal York popped up on the first page of the google search. I looked at their reviews and was convinced to hire them to find us an apartment. I sent them an email asking about their fees and potential rental units in Toronto. They responded so quickly and scheduled a call with them immediately. Me and my fiance were totally impressed by how well the call agent walked us through their services. We settled for a unit and we move in in January. Can wait!!!!
I spent a lot of time looking at different property management companies. It’s a major decision in my opinion to get the correct company to manage your property and I couldn’t be happier with the decision I made to go with Royal York Property Management. I have been working directly is incredible and has been amazing in the entire process! All in all super satisfied!
Quite honestly a TERRIBLE experience from start to finish. I understand they have a process to follow through on but this process was not explained at all. We had put an offer in on a lease and we were told it was ours. We were missing one signature on a document and within 1 hour KRISTO hounded us and sent us 6 emails demanding we sign. Not sure why he was using pushy sales tactics. He had approved us for this property before asking for our rental documents and based upon a GOOD RANKED credit score we were denied despite the fact we are A + tenants with a long track record of being in good standing with 3 separate landlords. When we went to see the place we were to lease at the end of the visit Jamel who was actually very nice said congratulations the place is yours, we had signed then and there. The next day they recalled the offer. Also they require you to put a $750 deposit on a property which I did. They were very sketchy about the process for retrieving my refund and I had to call 4 separate times and was not answered, when they did answer I had to go through 3 different people just to get the appropriate help to get my refund. to yourself a favor and avoide dealing with these people. They have no understanding on what it means to provide customer service. This felt like a scam from start to finish. In total I dealt with 9 people over a basic rental application.
