Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We had a sewage back up in the cellar. Burri not only fixed the problem, but told us how to avoid it in the future. Not by replacing the sewer line at great cost, but by a maintenance plan that is easy and inexpensive. Then he told us how to get the mess cleaned up. A young man came over, gave an estimate, and told us they would work with our homeowners insurance. which they did. The final cost to us was amazingly low. Including, and here's the best part, when Eric and John came over and cleaned it. An unpleasant task, cleaning sewage. But they did a beautiful job. The cellar is clean, dry, and no odor at all. Great job guys.

My technician Ron (#5592) was there as promised. My clog was after the toilet and was backing up into the shower. He fixed the problem in no time. He was pleasant the entire time. The holidays are stressful enough without having plumbing issues. One less thing to worry about. Thank you!!

Serge showed up at my residents around 3:30 pm Thursday 1/25/2018. I went down to the basement with him and he proceeded to explain what the problem could be and gave me an estimate. He went to work and 40 minutes later had the problem fixed, Hooray! Gave me some maintenance liquid and showed me how to use it. He wrote up the paperwork, and to my surprise the bill was under the estimate by about 40%, nice work Serge. My complements to you for your awesome knowledge and service. Roto-rooter is a great company, and their lucky to have you for an employee.

I took a half day off from work because they said they’d be at my home between 12 and 4pm on Friday. Around 3 they call and cancel because “a Staples store had an emergency and our other plumber is sick.” So they tell me I’ll be 1st in line Saturday morning. They call this morning around 7:30am and tell me someone is coming between “now and 8:30.” 8:30 passed and no word. I told the lady I need to be in Boston by 930 and she says, “oh, well I told you between 8 and 12.” These people are dishonest and did not take any accountability nor did they offer an apology until I got upset. Avoid at all cost. They are the Walmart of plumbing. Just a big company that only wants to deal in volume. Do yourself a favor and call a local, honest plumber.

Our system had been acting strangely for a few days but couldn’t determine the problem. I called my regular plumber on a Friday and left 2 messages. On Saturday morning when people were showering I heard Water running in the basement. The Main was plugged and the sink was overflowing. I called R.R. at 9:30 and they said the tech would be there by noon, and he was! “Mike” needed to snake the Main which has (2) 90 degree elbows. The quote he gave me seemed a bit high initially but after more than four hours of polite determination he managed to clear the blockage. Worth every penny and I won’t hesitate to call them again.
