We tried to engage Jim for a $1000+ job. We had him out and asked for a quote. It took him 3 weeks to email it to us (and we had to pester him for it), and after waiting that long, it was just the total for everything, not itemized. By that time, because he took so long on the quote, I had done 3 things myself, and thus the quote was useless. I asked him to itemized it about a month or two ago, and we never heard back. If we wanted someone fast, and didn't care how much it was going to cost, perhaps we would have had him do the work, but we wanted to know how much it was, and prioritize the work. That didn't work for us with him.
