Rodeway Inn Moosic - Scranton

Definitely an older "motel" but the room I had was clean and nice enough. The door did have some interference with the door frame. All in all I'm glad I landed it as for some reason 98% of all the hotels in the area were booked that night! Also Terry's Diner is right next door which is super nice.

Front desk employee very nice, called our room to see if everything was ok. Room wasn't fancy but clean, fine for a one night stay before an early flight. Don't know what the breakfast is like as we left too early to check it out.

Bed bugs so stay away!! I've stayed in many places all over the world and never ran into this problem. Room was semi clean but me and my husband is what the bed bugs had for supper.

I stayed here overnight with my wife and two kids on the way to a family reunion in New York. The motel is a little rundown (our door was hard to open, the toilet seat had wear marks and was the wrong shape, temp control knob on the fridge was missing). I can't say much about the location as we arrived at 10p.m. and didn't leave our room until morning, but the view from the parking lot was worthy of a picture. So, why four stars? Philip Patel, the manager, is quite possibly the friendliest guy on the face of the planet, and he runs the place right. While the hotel needs some maintenance, it is clean, and Mr. Patel responded quickly (and happily!) to the few issues we had. Definitely not a place I'd want to spend any extended length of time, but if you just need a place to sleep on your way to somewhere else, you'll enjoy just meeting Mr. Patel. And paying $50 for a family of four is pretty hard to beat these days.

The staff was really friendly, the WiFi worked easily, and the AC was nice and cold. The room, though non-smoking, had obviously been smoked in (a lot!), and there were no curtains for a set of windows that let in way too much sun. I'm not sure why they attempted to provide breakfast items though. The month-old little donuts could not have been edible. I must say though, for thinking we were going to have sleep in the car, this was definitely a relief, and I slept quite peacefully.
