Days Inn Scranton PA

Wow, What a great nights sleep. I really enjoyed the nights stay here in Scranton. The hotel is super clean and friendly. Front desk staff able to make great suggestions for dining and entertainment. Comfy beds and hot showers all for a great price. Bob suggested going to the drive in across the street, which was great. Woke up this morning to a very happy lady, "Jamie", who had breakfast ready. You can definitely tell the hotel is under remodel but don't let it fool you, The rooms are quite, clean and super affordable.

i have to say that the staff was very friendly. rooms were clean and front desk always made sure everything was alright anytime we walked past. hotel is being renovated, but for the most part, we had a pleasant stay. would definitely stay again.

This place I will recommend to everyone I know. Best service best place. Front desk was so nice and friendly. Bob is a true gentleman. So advanced in customer service. I really enjoyed staying there with family. Booked 2 rooms. Honistly the staff was friendly. My twin doughters were a bit loud in lobby the cleaning lady stopped me from saying something to them. She said I have 7 kids. So no need to say something. Let the kids be kids. Wow.

I called to make a reservation and the guy who answered just said hello! Meanly and I said is this the days inn he said why don’t you hang up and check then call back. Then hung up on me! Then!!!!!! When I called back he was mumble and said what are you stupid and slow your mumbling and I can’t understand someone like you! I was totally vivid at that point! I want to know who he is, when I called back after he hung up the 2nd time he didn’t answer it went to voicemail! I called again not to stay of course I wouldn’t even want to ever stay where somebody could make fun of me and be truly so cruel! I will be calling management and cooperate on him! I work customer service and I would have been fired! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE AND NOBODY EVER SHOULD BE TREATED BAD! I did nothing wrong, but was nice to that guy! He will not get away with this!

This place was very good economically for someone that is low on cash. However, the hotel appears to be quite old and somewhat outdated. Although it looked as though they were slowly trying to make renovations even while we stayed there. The craftsmanship however did not seem like it was very good. I noticed many areas with woodwork were being re-stained (which stunk up the hallways while we stayed), but it was done sloppy. There were drips all over on the wood as well as stain ending up on areas outside of the wood. On the plus side though, the rooms all have their own mini-fridge, microwave, hair dryer, flat screen tv, coffee maker, continental breakfast with the typical minimal foods and drinks, all which you don't see a lot of in lower end hotels. Another nice option is that they do have weekly rate discount's in case you need to be in the area a while. Overall, for the price I think the hotel is adequate for those on a budget if they can overlook the outdated decor and poor craftsmanship.
