Fairfield Inn by Marriott Scranton

I arrived and noticed I was the guest of the day. What does that mean? Well when I got to my room I had bottled water, chips and cookies waiting for me. What a welcomed relief for this weary traveler. The front desk staff is super friendly and very helpful. My room is perfect and clean. I really like this hotel and I'd stay here again in a New York minute. Hot coffee is available for you in the breakfast area all day long. Great relief to the caffeine deprived traveler.

We were very disappointed with this facility after being happy to find a Fairfield Inn, always having a good experience with this chain of hotels . The lobby and hallways were GROSSLY dirty. Our room was barely acceptable for cleanliness, and very small. The breakfast was good. This hotel could do so much by making better first impression in its lobby and hallways by simply scrubbing them clean. We would NOT recommend this place.

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Always have fresh towels and washcloths in the rooms. No laundry for guest use on site but there is one right next door that can be used. Parking lot gets very crowded at times.

Hotel is clean but the elevator had a really funny smell to it. The rooms seemed to have a smoke smell as well. Bds were comfy, good showers. I would stay again in a pinch.

Arrived with my 2 grown daughters and 11 month old and 3 year old for a long weekend at family reunion. When we arrived we found out they had no crib as requested and no cot as requested in the reservation made a few weeks before. Basically they told us oh well, porta crib broke and we don't have cots. There wasn't enough room for us all to sleep in the room. They suggested we stay at the courtyard across town - couldn't give us same rate and 20 minutes in opposite direction. We travel to Scranton often and have stayed there before. Will NEVER stay there again. They told us try another hotel...at 4:00 in the afternoon with 2 little girls who had already been in the car for 3 hours!
