It’s an older hotel which is showing its age like the elevators. Room was clean.nThe only issue we had was the front desk dealing with a guest where they had to call the police on them. I was asked to return to the front desk 20 mins later to get my parking validated when they should have brought it to the room. This location did reach out to me after I raised my concern.nViews are that great, but if you are just here on business, I guess that’s good enough.
Front desk employees were fantastic and the only good thing. But the hotel itself is disgusting and potentially dangerous with mold in the roomssee pics. The hotel is older which I’ve seen older hotels that are kept in good shape, this one is not. Everything from lobby, elevators, hallways, and rooms are gross. While your room may look tidy at a quick glance it’s disgusting with misleading pics online. Needs a deep clean, new carpet and linens, caulk and grout everywhere needs redone. Again, very obvious mold as pictured with the hallways and rooms smelling as such.. Expensive parking that you need to go outside to access. Don’t go to Scranton unless you need to..
Value priced Hilton option in downtown Scranton. Hotel a bit on the older side. Indoor pool and gym were both nice. Starbucks in the lobby in addition to the restaurant. Conference center in the hotel means it can get busy if there is an event going on. Well located within walking distance to all the downtown Scranton restaurants.
Customer service: 5/5 - Rooms: 3/5 needs updating - remove or replace carpetsnnThis was our 3rd stay at this hotel over the past 4 years and I had issues in years past with billing, such as extra nights charged, so I took the time for an in person checkout and receipt review this trip. Checked out the morning of Dec 1st, and the two ladies at the desk were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable - absolutely impeccable customer service skills. I wish I noted their names so I could compliment them by name. Also friendly experience at check in and with every staff interaction during our stay, but my checkout experience was especially notable in a positive way.nnOnly 4 stars because the hotel definitely needs some updating in the rooms, but the staff do their best in caring for it and providing clean rooms ready for an enjoyable stay.nnOverall, I recommend staying here for value, location, and friendly, helpful staff.
This hotel is definitely not worth the price. First, we noticed a clear butt print on the chair. Then the mildew on the grout in the shower and clearly there had been a leak behind the toilet. Next we noticed a stain on the headboard of the one bed. Come to find out by looking at other reviews, someone complained about the same exact room 2 weeks earlier. Also, we had a room that accommodates 4 and only enough towels and washcloths for 2. Shampoo dispenser completely empty. No body wash dispenser at all. Pool needs a good cleaning. And the cherry on top of it all, a pair of fuzzy socks was found under the chair in the room, FYI, not our socks. I've stayed in cheaper motels that were much cleaner. Would not recommend.
