Rockwood Park Campground

We liked the location. The campground was fine. The only reason for the low star rating is the all ever important requirement in any campsite is clean bathrooms. They had disgusting bathrooms that didn't looked to be cleaned in days.

It's a good place if you just want to spend the night close to St John, but that's it. There's nothing interesting on the camp grounds; you certainly don't spend a week there!nHowever, everything was fine. Our camping space was big enough, the toilets and showers were clean, the staff at the entrance was nice.

Location makes this campground. The physical campground is not fancy but mostly level sites, some full hookups. The one wash house is older but very clean. All staff were super friendly and accommodating. There was a problem with their water system and staff advised not to drink it. However they provided a big bottle of drinking water at check-in and there were bubblers of drinking water at the wash house and at the check-in kiosk. The campground is located within a beautiful park called Rockwood. It is great for easy walks, hikes, running and biking on trails of varying distance from easy to challenging. There is also a lake with a equipment rental concession and nice restaurant. Leaving the park, it's only about 3 km drive or walk to downtown Saint John. We've stayed in fancier parks, but few so we'll situated.

Great location to the city and the park. our campsite is located at the hill top. it is not leveled and a bit noisy. All else were okay.

Park is beautiful but the campground part is old and dated, water is not usable,boil order last year and again this year and still charge full price. There was a dog fee. A St.John tourist fee. Ridiculous
