Overall, this is a very good store with positives and negatives. The older women cashiers are great. The younger women cashiers can be a mixed bag, lacking any basic politeness or communication. It’s a service industry folks. While they have a good assortment of products for a No Frills, they seem to have challenges keeping product in stock requiring me to go and make purchases at other locations like Longos further away. Lavazza coffee has been missing for weeks, meat can be often empty, and certain vegetables are an issue too. I hope they can turn this around soon.
A fairly small No Frills. Useful if you live close, but not worth a special trip. Laid out well but can be busy leading to some fairly long lineups at the checkout. Being smaller, the selection is also smaller. I often pass it and will pop in to get something. It's not somewhere I would go to do a major shop. It's a super-super-sized convenience store for me
3 weeks in a row the top flyer meat special is out of stock and never anything similar to buy . Super frustrating because it’s obviously the motivation for the trip in . When that happens I don’t buy anything to prove a point . Not my style to reward poor planning . So basically it’s an unreliable store and there is nothing else in the immediate area so it’s a time waster. Go to Food Basics at Gerrard Square they have much better inventory control and similar pricing .
2 1/2 stars actually. Nice renovation, great parking. They rarely have enough checkouts open for the demand, so don’t expect a quick in and out experience. Self check outs aren’t an option until later in the day.nBiggest pet peeve… always have to grab a carry basket from the checkouts as they don’t replenish the stack at the entrances.
A bad location of a predatory chain of retail stores. The staff here are extremely rude and disrespectful to seniors and people with disabilities. I would never recommend this store as the stories of seniors and disabled people denied service or treated with respect and dignity are simply shocking - and it continues to be the standard in this particular store. I have witnessed staff bullying seniors. I have witnessed staff refusing to help those who are disabled shop or reach items. They also just are really aggressive with customers. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.
