Residence Inn by Marriott Minneapolis Downtown at The Depot

Great hotel in the not so busy part of downtown. Complimentary breakfast and beers (plus snacks) provided in the evenings make it worth the price. The garages are heated which is very handy when temperatures drop. If i had one complaint was the lack of affordable dining/food options in the near hotel vicinity. But for a downtown location, this is expected.

Love this place I came to Minneapolis late around 5am we called every hotel they were all booked until I called here. A lady forgot her name it starts with an M she was the kindness person ever told me they had a room available for us but they would charge us one night only I loved it.(came Saturday night and left Monday)The room what's a lot more what we expect it. Stove, fridge, dishwasher, and lot more then you expect. Also breakfast included a pool and gym for free.(bring your bikini) The price was great super low then other hotels love it I will come back 115% thanks a lot love this place ..

I am writing this review at 5:45 AM because I can't contain my joy (sarcasm) of having a room next to someone who blasted music from 4:30 AM to 6:00 AM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Complained to front desk yesterday, and the guy didn't seem to care. He said he would send security up and have it taken care of. I even told him which side of the room it's coming from to make sure they talked to the right guest, and the front desk dude goes "yes I'm sure when security gets up there they will hear it". Right. No. The residence inn has secluded rooms so you wouldn't hear it from the entrance. My guess is security came up and didn't hear anything so they didn't do a anything. I won't be staying at this location again. Also, unfortunately, it was trash music like The Weekend. Trash music for trash people. Edit: Yes I understand this is an isolated experience (actually my first in staying with Marriott over the last 6 years), but I really wish security/front desk did something when I complained. Anyway, the hotel was clean and all the staff were courteous especially the Rachel who sent a welcoming email.

Honestly my room felt like a small town house. This hotel is located in a very trendy area of downtown and in a safe area. I only Gove it 4 stars because of one encounter with a couple of the employees.

The hotel is located a few blocks from the river in a newly updated location. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance, including one inside the other attached hotel (the Renaissance). The room is nice. There was a mini kitchen, living room and separate bedroom. TVs in the living room and bedroom. The style is a little outdated but good enough. There did seem to be some conversations floating in from other rooms but it did not bother us. We used points to book the trip so I cannot speak to price.
