We attended a conference at the hotel. We were staying off site so my experience doesn’t cover the rooms. Meals were in the conference center area and restaurant, and the meetings are all below ground. I would have liked having windows especially being so close to the capitol building!!, and at the same time understand why that isn’t the best use of space. It was a good location and I enjoyed being near downtown Providence. Side note, it was pretty windy.nnThe staff was quite helpful with each interaction.
This hotel has gone downhill, especially when it comes to cleanliness. It used to be much better. We’re Gold Members, and yet they constantly give us the worst rooms — blocked views, undesirable locations, and never a single upgrade unless we complain. It’s honestly ridiculous.nnWhat’s the point of being a loyal member if they treat you like you don’t matter? The service has definitely declined, and it shows. We expect better, especially with our status, and this property really needs to improve how it handles loyal guests.
Stayed here for more than a week. Perfect location. Right next to mall and train station. Comfortable bed, clean linen. I had access to club lounge which was nice. They serve breakfast in lounge which is basic but good enough. One of the days they had live omelette station which was nice. Hotel is right next to mall so you will have some more options for food. Cheese cake factory and P.F. Chang’s is close by. Train station is walking distance which gives you options to get to Boston or NY. Parking is little expensive in my view because it’s valet only. You can park in mall parking garage overnight which is almost half the price. There is also roadside parking right next to hotel but Providence doesn’t allow overnight roadside parking but you can still use it during the day. Front desk staff were very courteous and helpful.
Amazing experience at this hotel!!! From the moment we arrived people were walking out and saying what a wonderful hotel it was. The rooms were very spacious and modern. No noise issues: it was very quiet. Water pressure was excellent and gets super hot which I loved! We splurged on the capital view and it was worth it especially at night! Everyone staying and working there was very kind. Special shout-out to Bill warm welcome when we arrived/information during our stay, Robert answering questions and accomodations during our stay, Bryan valet man who always greeted us with a smile and conversation as we came in and out. Only recommendation for future would be a shuttle to the bus station since it's a hike up a hill. Other than that fantastic
We have come here frequently through the years to visit family, and have found the same apparently unfixable problems. The gym has the same broken machines, which we first reported in May. Today the front desk told us to talk to the manager tomorrow. Shouldn’t they be able to relate that they are broken?nHousekeeping comes five hours after notice. Bathroom amenities are few, and not necessarily replaced.nThe valet service is good, and the morning restaurant staff is excellent. Still, we’re done.
