Hilton Providence

My wife and I loved our stay at this hotel. The room was clean, and the location was excellent. We were able to walk to our favorite federall hill restaurants easily. The hotel bar was also wonderful. Consider yourself lucky if you get Frank and Joe at the bar. great drinks, great food, solid prices. We’ll happily be back next time we’re in providence.

Walked into my room on day 1 and noticed it smelled wet but didn’t spend much time there. On day 2 I was walking around and the carpet was SOPPING WET, which is when I noticed the walls had signs of moisture too. Woke up this morning really stuffy. All ironic considering I was just telling someone yesterday about a different hotel with wet carpet and how I would never have to experience that again.nnI have stayed in pretty much every gross hotel there is so I have a thick skin, but this has to be one of the grosser ones. I imagine they skate by on the good location. Oh, and $32 per night for parking is diabolical.nnPros: Microwave in-room. Fitness room was really nice.nCons: Literally everything else. Ice machines not on every floor. No advance notice of remodel. Yuck

I trying to bring breakfast from the breakfast area to my room to be more comfortable because I don't like crowds. I was told by wait staff that I couldn't take food outside the breakfast area.nnI'm part of consulting group staying at the hotel. If the wait staff told me prior to walking into breakfast, I wouldn't go to the breakfast.nnOur group have small window 10 minutes before we can catch a shuttle into work since the breakfast area opens at 6:30am.

Small rooms, non-working air conditioning, arrogant and unfriendly reception staff! They put me in a very small room on the ground floor. After we switched to a larger room, they refused and said they were all the same! But that's not true. After another request, the black woman at the reception changed me to a room on the 7th floor, which was much bigger. They charged $60 for a two-hour late checkout.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. My stay was absolutely awful from start to finish. The room was in terrible condition—there was mold everywhere, the walls were damp and wet to the touch, and the overall environment felt unsafe and unhealthy. No guest should ever have to deal with these kinds of conditions.nnTo make matters worse, I stayed for a total of 77 nights, and despite being told repeatedly that I would receive my reward points at checkout, I never got them. Every time I asked, I was reassured they would be added, but that never happened. What makes it worse is that other guests who stayed at the same time received their points without any issue, yet mine were ignored. This shows a complete lack of accountability and professionalism from the management.nnSpending that much time and money in a hotel and being treated this way is beyond disappointing. The conditions were unlivable, and the loyalty program is clearly not honored as promised. Save yourself the stress and stay anywhere else but here.
