Real Canadian Superstore

Im loving this place more and more. I couldn't believe that The local grocery store 2 mins from me has the beef stock for 3.29 and its 0.94 at Superstore. That blew my mind. Love the PC coffee as well, great price and tastes good too. I would LOVE if they brought back Butter First Oatmeal cookies. Man I miss those.

This is the only store my partner and I will shop at, the prices are incredible and diversity of food and other items is everything I could dream of. From specialty international foods, fresh seafood and meats, and friendly, prompt service, you cannot go wrong! The self-checkout is easy, and staff is always helpful. The staff stocking the shelves offer help, and provide excellent customer service always. This grocery store is a dream come true! Thank you to the staff and managers for providing food and other items for us Nanaimo citizens at a great cost and excellent care :

We have been coming here once a week and I don't think I've even seen coriander or parsley. Their fruits and vegetables section is constantly missing basic items like cauliflowers, celery, lettuce, etc. We always have to go to a different grocery store to compensate for the lack of fruits and vegetables here. We just decided to switch to a different grocery store as no other grocery store we visited have that recurring issue.

I absolutely HATE bagging my own groceries!!! I have been there at end of the nite a few times and nobody behind me and store is closing and everyone is toe tapping for me to hurry but they won't help you bag your groceries! Is it against policy for them? They look at you like the items are tainted and they can't touch them. Hint...you wanna get home faster maybe help a girl out?!

Most rude cashier ever. Checkout #1 at noon February 18. Double standard in service. Treats some customers nice and is rude to others. It's obvious why. Here's something you should learn... treat all customers the way you want to be treated. Lucky I didn't punch you out!

Produce department is dirty and understocked. Produce is rotting on the shelves. Staff is disconnected and not helpful.. dairy department where the milk crates sit in the cooler is very dirty. You can see milk on the floor, rotten eggs that have been there for long time. Meat department is also dirty and never has stock. Most of the cashiers are rude and disconnected. They need to go and see the Courtenay store, it's beautiful, stocked, clean, friendly staff.

Robin at the customer service counter needs a training course in how to provide good customer service. I only had maybe 10 items, she had no lineup, was very rude, no conversation at all, she made me feel like I was an interruption to her, couldn't answer my question about why they got rid of the produce price labeler, makes it easier to go through customer service or self check out. They should have those answers, or at least apologize for not knowing. Customer service should be a priority.

Super gross. Don't usually leave reviews of grocery stores, but it was so gross I just have to. No other grocery store even big ones in this area have such disgusting produce in every section; or as disgusting floors covered in the guts of discarded produce. Also not great selection but I don't care much about that. Constant smell of some kind of rot.

lots of items out of stock and a disaster of a produce department if you happen to shop on a Monday night often not yet restocked from the busy weekend. frustrated that I often cannot find tofu or plain oat milk despite shopping different days and times to hopefully line up with a restock!

I shop there because prices are good and they have human tellers
