Great camping and outdoor gear. Quality items and fun stuff for the whole family. We like the colorful fire thing. The roasted sunflower seeds. And we bought the coziest and warmest king size blanket ever! Easy to wash in the washer too. This place is also nice to visit and look around even if you don’t want to buy anything. Staff are always helpful and go above and beyond.
Great store friendly staff. Everyone stopped to say hi to my puppy Blue. And she got her first photo with Santa.
This Cabela's is like others, very consistent with their brand. Decent stock with a variety of sizes. Friendly, helpful staff. Good variety of basic items in a clean environment.
Very nice store, has lots of great stuff if you are an outdoorsy person. Dog friendly and we always love the stuffed animal exposition.There is a good vibe about the place.
Lotsa cool stuff but my experience today tells me I only need come in when something I need isn’t available online. Bad vibes here. Does it hurt to smile? Staff seems to have low morale and are not at all friendly or kind. Never seen this at any other Cabela’s. Strongly suggest a management review.
I've been to Cabela's in Nanaimo many times to buy hunting gear. It's worth saying it's also a great place for gift ideas. I've never had a bad experience there.
Our family had a terrible experience with the Santa Photographer today. Tried to talk to the blonde photographer directly about being unkind, making rude remarks, and unprofessional behavior - she whined and stomped away. Spoke to the manager of Cabela’s, and he apologized. We double checked the Santa image, and she printed and SOLD us the one image we didn’t want. Be careful with the Santa photograph Centre.
Excellent, knowledgeable staff at the arms counter, scope mounted, bore sighted, and one fixed in a timely manner, shop there fairly often, no real complaints thus far.
Huge store with quite a bit to choose from. Staff offered to help multiple times, and were very helpful. Decent deals. I usually only shop when something is on sale.
Huge range of equipment and clothing for hunting, camping, fishing, boating, tramping or pretty much any other outdoor activity you can think of. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are some interactive displays set up with stuffed animals to keep kids entertained for a while. Down the back they have a 'bargain cave' and their own indoor archery range. They sell the best pegs for coping with the hard stoney soil in the provincial park camp grounds.
