Dr. Jaggi Rao is an award-winning dermatologist who is board certified in both Canada and the United States.

Story

Immediately after completing his dermatology training in 2003, Dr. Rao became the first Canadian physician to graduate from the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship Program. For a full year, Dr. Rao was immersed in the art, science and research of cosmetic medicine and surgery, working alongside some of the most famous names in the field. Dr. Rao is a frequent resource for TV, radio and magazine media regarding various skin-related issues.

With his passion for dermatology, people and technology, Dr. Rao has distinguished himself as a renowned scientific and artistic dermatologist, skin and cosmetic surgeon, researcher, author and educator. He has authored over 50 scientific papers and textbook chapters and has been an invited speaker for over 200 lectures worldwide. Dr. Rao serves as an expert consultant to numerous physicians, business and industry, and academia.

Dr. Rao has won several awards including the 2011 Canadian Dermatology Association’s Teacher of the Year Award, and Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 Award.

Dr. Rao is a full Clinical Professor of Medicine and currently serves as the Program Director for the Dermatology Residency Program at the University of Alberta, training future skin specialists in the science and art of dermatology.
