Dr. Dan Hodges

Dr Hodges is an amazing doctor. He really listens to what the patient wants/needs, and takes that into consideration. Even if he does not fully agree with what you want, if you can justify it to him he is more than willing to do as you ask. The only large complaint I have, is that it is impossible to get a hold of his office to book follow up appointments. I had a hysterectomy performed by him exactly one week ago today, and I have been trying to get a hold of the office daily since to book my follow up. The phone will ring and ring then cut off and their business hours are very odd.

has been my ObGyn since I moved to Edmonton. knowledgeable, nonjudgmental and honest. i like him because: he is an experienced doctor, didnt beat around the bush, dressed professionally, displayed proper decorum, answered questions directly and when i ask for suggestions, it is always evidenced based and im thankful for that. 😊

I saw Doctor Hodges as a referral patient for an IUD insertion. Dr. Hodges is a great doctor! Although a little stand off-ish at first he was gentle, understanding, and walked me through every part of the procedure. If you are looking for an IUD insertion, I highly recommend him-- unlike a lot of doctors, Hodges freezes your cervix prior to insertion making it largely painless! After the procedure Dr. Hodges was extremely caring, checked my pulse and reminded me to take my time with leaving and made it clear that my comfort level and health were more important than whoever was waiting to use the room. I would absolutely go see him again! However, one whole star was taken off for his staff-- considering this is a gynecology/family practice office I found the people behind the desk incredibly RUDE. I called multiple times trying to book/ask questions about pre-appointment procedures and the people on the other line were very short/uncaring with me, on one occasion hanging up before I could finish-- which before a procedure regarding the balancing of menstrual cycles and vacation schedules was not very helpful! If you wish to see him as a doctor you have to be incredibly aggressive with his staff, and make sure you have your questions prepared prior to calling. I would recommend him to a friend!
