Consistency matters!! I tried this place out for the first time on 12/21 with a group of 5 of us. To start, it was my first time there so I needed a few minutes to look through the menu as it is decently sized, so there are plenty of options. However, every ten or fifteen seconds it seemed as if a different waitress came by asking if I was ready to order. I had about 5 in the span of a minute. I thought, man, they really are on the Customer service game. I ordered their 3 taco combination and that’s where things went another direction. We got our food and we asked for some hot sauce for one of the kids. The waiter we asked seamed to had forgotten about us and never came back to our table. We decided to flag down another gentleman who was very helpful and got us his hot sauce almost right away. The food, it’s okay but nothing fancy. There is better Mexican Food places out there, and the meat is probably what ruined it. My chicken was super dry, my fiancée’s beef in her tamale was dry. If you are looking for a Mexican place to eat, you can eat here, but it won’t scream mom and pop true authentic. Also if you want service that’s consistent, you probably won’t find it at this Rancho Viejo.

Comfort food with a mexican flair! Wonderful food and atmosphere for an evening after fighting snow all day. They NEVER let me down. Five stars!

Best Mexican food in the area. Love their tacos de carne asada. Better than some of the California restaurants.

The more I eat out, the more I realize how great this restaurant is. You get a complimentary appetizer (chips and 3 salsas) and dessert (sopopia with ice cream) and my wife and I leave with leftovers for $25 and that includes a tip! The food is great. Unfortunately, it is so good that I often over-eat. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're actually in Mexico. This is my favorite place to sit down and have a meal.

My family and I have been coming here for years. We've been to other Mexican restaurants, but this one seems to always deliver when it comes to the winning dining combination of great food, excellent and friendly service, mixed with a good size portion for a better sized price. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, is because during today's visit the staff was a little off their game and we had to request water refill, chips and salsa twice before getting it once. Normally you don't have to even ask because they're taking care of business. Will definitely return again.
