A delicious stop for Fukuoka style ramen, which always hits the spot. It's a basic menu, which allows them to make it delicious. The service is great, which means the long line is also fairly quick. Atmosphere is 5 star if you realize this is not a lounging spot. They don't rush you, but it has a quick turnover.
I have heard about this place in Seattle, but never been there. Due to the positive reviews, I couldn't resist trying this place and decided to wait outside for 30 minutes at 1:45 PM on a Saturday. You get to decide what you want to order while waiting outside and served within minutes of being seated. Worth the wait! Loved the broth. In short, my choice was perfect. My family chose a higher spicy level which kinda deviated the broth taste while i ordered standard. For first timers, the seats have space to hold your jackets/bags. Friendly and courteous staff. It is paid street parking around that place, so plan accordingly.nDefinitely worth the visit and since i live in WA, i shall visit the seattle more often as that one too has very good reviews.
Easily the best place in Vancouver for ramen, this is where I like to take my husband for a nice date, as a treatit's their favourite place to eat.nDress warm because you usually have to wait outside before you can be seated, due to the limited seating and high demand.nYou are given a small menu/form to fill out while you wait, where you check off what you'd like. It's different but great for keeping people moving, plus it usually means you're not waiting long for your food once you're seated. The other great thing about this method is it gives you so much control over how your ramen is made. You can control the size, amount and firmness of the noodles, how spicy and rich the broth is, and what toppings you'd like or not like.nnThis is a Japanese chain so a lot of the items have their Japanese names, unless you're familiar with what they are, you might get lost, though I had no issue asking the staff what certain things were.nnOnce seated you can look in the open kitchen at your food being prepared. My go to dish is the seasonal curry ramen, spicy and rich with udon.nnThe ramen is amazing, the broth is rich and flavorful, the ingredients are fresh and the egg is cooked perfectly. If you haven't had ramen before, or have ramen a lot, I can't recommend Ramen Danbo enough.
Card only! The most famous Roman restaurant in Vancouver, always always always have to wait in lineI went on Christmas Day and it was raining and I still waited for 30 minutes. Definitely worse triangle they only sell Ramen, but can customize your food. The Japanese staff are so nice and really passionate about their food. Definitely would revisit.
Danbo Ramen on Robson Street is a must-visit spot for ramen lovers, and it’s easy to see why it has a loyal following. No matter the weather—rain or shine, hot or cold—you’ll always find a line outside. The wait can be long, but trust me, it’s worth every minute.nnWhat truly sets Danbo apart is its exceptional attention to flavor and customization. The broths are deeply flavorful, rich, and comforting, perfect for any season. One of the best parts of dining here is the ability to customize nearly every aspect of your bowl. You can choose the firmness of your noodles, whether you want them soft, firm, or somewhere in between, and adjust the thickness and richness of the broth to suit your taste.nnThey also offer vegan options, which are just as thoughtfully crafted and delicious, making it an inclusive spot for all. Danbo has mastered the art of delivering consistently high-quality ramen that’s bursting with flavor, in a cozy, welcoming environment. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here and can’t wait to return for more.
