I recently visited Ramen Danbo Robson and really enjoyed the experience overall. The ramen was rich, flavorful, and perfectly customizable to my preference. The broth had great depth without being overly salty, and the noodles had that ideal firm texture. The chashu was tender and satisfying, and the portion size was just right.nnThe service was efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere felt lively and authentic.nnThe only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the ventilation — it wasn’t quite strong enough, and the space got a bit stuffy during peak hours. With better airflow, it would easily be a 5-star spot.nnStill, a solid place for a comforting bowl of ramen in downtown Vancouver!
I had a great experience at Ramen Danbo. I tried their seasonal Curry Ramen, and it was so good. The broth was rich, creamy, and full of curry flavor without being too heavy. The noodles had the perfect texture and everything in the bowl paired really well together.nnIf you like ramen with a deep, comforting flavor, the seasonal curry ramen is definitely worth trying. I’d happily come back again!
Heard about this place and had to try it out. Tried the classic tonkotsu ramen which is one of my favourites. You can customize the type of noodles you want as well as the firmness. You can also choose add-ons such as seaweed, extra pork, ramen egg etc. The ramen was delicious and would recommend to give this place a try. It always seems to have a line up outside and for good reason. The line moves quickly and the ramen doesn’t disappoint. Worth the wait even in the rain.
The very first bite of the ramen at Ramen Danbo Robson made me feel warm inside like I had wrapped up in a cozy blanket. The bowl was full of steam and rich flavour that tasted like it was made with care and patience. The noodles were springy and fun to slurp, and every spoonful of broth felt like it gave my body a little boost. The people working there were friendly and made sure everything arrived just the way I liked it. Even though the restaurant was busy, my meal came quickly and tasted worth every bit of the wait. By the time I finished, I felt full and satisfied and was already thinking about what I would order next time. I would tell anyone who loves tasty noodle bowls to try this place at least once.
Danbo Ramen is a small and very popular spot on Robson. We went in the evening and the place was packed, which gave it that cozy Japan ramen shop feel. Seating is low and compact but still comfortable, and the warm lighting made it feel inviting. It can get noisy because of the tight space, but the restaurant is clean and well kept.nnI ordered the Negi-goma ramen with kikurage and karashi takana. Presentation was beautiful, flavor was about 8/10, and the portion was just right. The eggs were cooked perfectly. Service was quick and efficient.nnI love the thoughtful design, especially the storage space under the seats. They do have high chairs, but the shop is very tight, so not ideal for strollers or large groups.nnOverall, it’s one of the better ramen bowls I’ve had in Vancouver. I’d return if I’m in the area, but I’d also love to try other ramen spots in the city.
