Good experience. I entered with a medium expectation there were some odd things like in a room for up to four people there was only one cup or stuff set out for one person. One of the lights in the room also did not work however it wasn't a major concern as the lamp worked instead. They were very nice about it and had great service. I definitely would stay here again.
Everything was good and comfortable from booking, customer service/reception to amenities provided. One little disappointment was that the breakfast did not have much variety, the pastry seemed old, sausages seemed artificial like plastic. In room 316 water kept running in the bath tub although shut.nOverall was a comfortable stay. Thank you for upgrading the rooms for us.
Great Stay by the River!nnI had a wonderful experience at the Ramada by Wyndham Ottawa On The Rideau. The location is fantastic, right by the beautiful Rideau River, which provides a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. It’s just a short drive from downtown Ottawa, making it a perfect balance between convenience and tranquility.nnMy room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. I especially loved the balcony with a view of the river – it was the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the city.nnThe staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with a smile. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, and I enjoyed the variety offered at breakfast each morning. The outdoor pool and hot tub were an added bonus, and the surrounding nature made for a relaxing environment.nnOne of the highlights for me was the access to the river. They offer kayaks and canoes, so I took advantage of that and enjoyed a peaceful paddle along the Rideau. It’s a unique feature that really sets this hotel apart.nnOverall, I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend the Ramada by Wyndham Ottawa On The Rideau to anyone looking for a quiet retreat with easy access to the city. I’ll definitely be back!
My wife and I stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham on Rideau for our wedding night, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations. Before booking, I confirmed through the Expedia app that I could pay for the room with my Visa debit card, and my friend could cover the security deposit with a credit card. The hotel assured me this was fine. However, when we arrived, there was a trainee at the front desk who seemed unsure about this arrangement. She had to ask a manager, who told me that I had been speaking with the AI and that I would need to pay both the room and security deposit with a credit card. This was frustrating, especially since I had already confirmed everything in advance. The room itself was a letdown. There was a hole in the bathroom that had been poorly patched, and there were boogers on the wall. It was also disappointing that while the room had tea bags, there was no kettle to actually make the tea. To top it off, the windows and lamps were dusty, and the general cleanliness left much to be desired. Although I had requested something special for our wedding night, there was no mention of it when we checked in, and the overall experience didn’t reflect the celebratory nature of our stay. I understand that mistakes happen, but considering the circumstances, I would not recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a special or seamless stay. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, offering a variety of fresh options to start the day. The hot tub and sauna were also a highlight, providing a relaxing way to unwind after a long day.
Room had everything you need, good price, solid breakfast, good location, clean safe area, nice staff. Would definately stay there again if looking for a room.
