Radisson Hotel Albany

I was apprehensive due to the bad reviews but this was an awesome experience. My husband and i come to NY from PA for business and we were treated well upon check-in. Everyone made us feel welcomed. We requested a microwave in our room and it was there before we opened our door. Front desk receptionist Monique and Thomas gave us exceptional service. I took the shuttle to the nail salon and Gerald(the driver) gave me recommendations for a night on the town. I was happy with our room and more importantly our experience with the staff. The bartender Miles made us laugh each night we went down for a drink. Even the lady who cleaned my room made me feel so at home. (Can't remember her name) The breakfast buffet was delicious and my omelet maker had such a sense of humor it brightened my day. I plan on staying here again. Yes, the hotel may not be the newest but I'll take it with great customer service any day. I told the company NOT to send us anywhere else in Albany. I love it here!

The ceilings had water stains. And our shower didn't drain. It didn't smell pleasant . Also, the furniture was very outdated. There was a roll-out bed in the hallway one morning and 2 days later it was still there. It took 2 calls for maintenance to come to our room. At the front desk there was lemonade that looked a week old. And we were put in the towers, and the pool felt like miles away from it. I didn't even want to go swimming by the looks of the hotel. So instead of the Radisson it should be called the Ratchitson.

Solid, low key place for a group meeting. Nothing really stood out, nothing really bad. Only coffee available though was from a vending machine at $2 a cup. Been a long time since I've been in a hotel without decent lobby coffee. Every Hilton & Marriott hotel I've been to always has coffee on...

If anyone ever tell anybody to stay at this nasty nasty nasty hotel should just stop. The staff are not only rude but have not one percent of class. Was there for a conference and the breakfast was just awful. Served us luke warm rolls and then brought out the Frozen butter. And we had to ask twice for the cold butter. Dirty carpet. I would not book anything there or stay there. Oh did I mentioned the woman at the front desk. No class!!!! Bulldoze the place down. Don't go there, beware!!!!

Exterior and lobby were impressive and inviting. The halls leading to the room had buckled carpeting. My room had water stains on the ceiling and the shower walls were dirty/stained. Those minor eye sores could be forgiven, but the A/C didn't work. I was moved to a second room. Same minor eye sores, but this one had working A/C. I took a shower and pulled the sheets back, and there was blood in my bed. It wasn't just the sheet but it had gone through to the mattress protector. Obviously the bed linens hadn't been changed. I was moved to a third room. Same minor eye sores, but I had working A/C and a clean bed. Unfortunately the closet doors didn't work and the facet in the restroom leaked severely when turned on. The only good thing was the front desk person was courteous enough to comp my stay.
