Checked in yesterday, the place looks like a remnant of the 60s or 70s. It's got that jazzy decor of the era. The building definitely has tweaked some changes in to modernize. The area has a mixture of old and new buildings, I don't remember that part of State Street looking like that, the last time I've been there. Like other parts of Schenectady that I've seen, it seems to be gentrifying. The rooms are pretty good and clean, internet is fast, and the prices were pretty cheap. It's fairly close to Rivers Casino, I'm in town to see family and to visit the race track in Saratoga, so can't wait for that!

I called to ask how fast their internet was when I was comparison shopping the area. The clerk asked me if I was a guest and I told him no and he pretty much said he wasn't going to answer questions and then ended the phone call. If a place won't work to get your business, how much help will they be once they already have your money?
