This is a fabulous park with lots of attractions for kids and also a splash pool. Lush grassy areas and sitting sections for a quick picnic. Not to forget the ice cream truck. Perfect for making memories. You don’t need to worry about parking as I discovered two sections, maybe more
Prairie Winds Park is a wonderful park lots of greenery , well maintained so many different rides especially zip lining and the big spinning wheel. The 2 hills to climb is a good hike enjoyed by all. Swimming pool at the park looks great and clean. Lots of parking space available. Enjoyed at the park..
2nd time at this park and the kids had even more fun than they did when they came during covid and entry was a little more cumbersome. Parking was just a tad tricky to get but came in time to be able to ‘lie in wait’ for users who were leaving so I could park in their spot. The pools had a good number of people but the area is so big that everyone could wade without necessarily being in other people’s way. The play area outside was really nice too. One of the zip lines was out of commission but everyone waited patiently in line in spite of the blistering sun to use the only one that was working. It’s a long way from me but I will definitely be back there in future. I would have easily given 5 stars but the condition of the bathrooms female was appalling. It stank of pee, the floors were disgusting and of course my kiddo ‘desperately’ had to go…more than once! So I had the ‘pleasure’ of being in the washroom way more than I needed to. If I never had to go in that washroom I bet those two starts wouldn’t have been taken out alas! …
Excellent and well maintained walking paths during the winter months. Small ice rink on wear side of park. No sledding on hills allowed : Very nice park. Several jungle gyms for kids, courts for tennis and basketball ball. Swimming pools with change rooms available on premises for summer fun.
Amazing park, with a large kids which should be opening soon for the season. This park has a lot to offer such a few different play areas, a large hill, pathway for walking, running or biking. Even in the winter, it's a great place go for a walk or taking photos.
My family has spent fun time together in the park every summer since they opened. It is clean and has big capacity for about 200 people. But you should come early to claim the best space around the pool. There is a splash area, washrooms, and change rooms near the pools. When done with swimming, the kids can play in the playground just beside the pool area. We're so happy that we can enjoy this amazing experience for free. We can't wait to visit here again next summer!
Awesome, scenic place. Though public pool is crowded. A fun place for family with kids.Seen some sports training too for children. Beautiful view from top of the grass hill, the green lawn is great to relax under the sun.
Beautiful park. Beautiful view of the airport. From the hill tops, skyline of Calgary can be seen. A lot of children’s play items.
Super fun place to go on hot summer days, suitable for kids from all age and adults too. Not just well designed play ground but also a good sized waterpark with washroom and change room. Since it's not that far from the airport. Kids can watch airplane taking off while playing with water, how cool is that? There's also a big shelter for big group gathering. Definitely recommend this place!
This park has it all for everyone in the family. It has a huge wading pool, a tennis court, basketball courts, a zip line, a splash pad area. Lots of walking trails and a hill that's a good work-out to walk up and down and is especially great for tobogganing in winter. Has lots of benches to sit and relax and several gazebos with benches and tables. The kids love the park.
